Mayor Reid stated that he felt that the listing of priorities should <br /> remain a negotiable item and felt that the City should remain flexible. <br /> <br /> Councilman Mori supported Councilman Pearson's request to gibe the <br /> Shoping Center and Johnson and Johnson a higher priority. <br /> <br /> After additional discussion on this entire matter, it was moved by <br /> Councilman Kinney and seconded by Councilman Herlihy that the City <br /> Manager be authorized to prepare a formalization of an agreement with <br /> the developers for presentation to the V.S.C.D. Board of Directors on <br /> May 16th, prepare a history of sewage treatment in the west valley <br /> with recommendations for a city position, and develop. legal procedures <br /> to have a regional agency assume responsibility for sewage treatment. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> County requirements Along Vineyard Avenue <br /> <br />In answer to a request from Councilman tterlihy at the May 1st Council <br />Meeting, Mr. Campbell reviewed his report, dated May 4, 1972, regard- <br />ing Alameda County requirements along Vineyard Avenue, which he did <br />not feel were very stringent° Mr. Campbell stated that the. County <br />seemed not to have precise guide-lines and reviewed each individual <br />application on its own merit. <br /> <br />Councilman Herlihy thanked Mr. Campbell for this information. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar stated that the following items have been forwarded to <br />the City lCouncil for their information: <br /> <br /> 1. A copy of a letter, dated May 1, 1972, from Mr. John P. <br /> Corley, regarding the Citizens Federal Savings and Loan <br /> application for a Conditional Use Permit. <br /> <br /> 2. A copy of a letter, dated June 26, 1972, from Mr. Ted <br /> Fairfield to Dr. Howard Long, regarding Longview. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />There were no reports from the City Attorney. <br /> <br />COMMUN I CAT I ON S <br /> <br />Letter and Resolution from the City of San Mateo, Re: Opposition to <br />Proposed Amendment to Regulation 2, Air Pollution Control District <br /> <br />The staff was instructed to acknowledge and file this correspondence. <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Councilman Pearson reported that information recieved from the Govern- <br />or's Office revealed that the Governor did not intend to~fund SACEOA <br />and had given the cities notice to establish a new non-profit organiza- <br />tion by August 1st. The staff was instructed to work with the cities <br />of Hayward, San Leandro, Union City and Livermore to accomplish this. <br />Councilman Pearson stated that this matter should be discussed with <br />the Community Concerns Committee at th~ Study Session to be held later <br />this evening. <br /> <br /> 4. 5-8-72 <br /> <br /> <br />
