PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Hearin~ of objections by .property owners to the proposed removal and <br />abatement of nuisance caused by noxious or dangerous weeds ~rowin~ <br />upon or in front of property owned by them i~' the City of Pleasant0n <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open and asked for a staff <br />report. <br /> <br />Mr. Hirst explained the procedure in the abatement of weeds program <br />and asked for authority to proceed with this program. <br /> <br />There being no remarks from the public, it was moved by Councilman <br />tIerlihy and seconded by Councilman Kinney that the public hearing be <br />closed. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Kinney <br />that Resolution No. 72-77, authorizing the City Attorney to proceed <br />in the removal and abatement of weeds program, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />~LATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> <br />Application of the Plannin~ Commission Re: Proposed Ordinance of the <br />City of Pleasanton...amending Cha.Dter 2 of Title II of the Ordinance Code <br />of the Cit~ of Pleasanton b~ the addition thereto of Article 13'.5 pro- <br />viding for an P~4R Multi-Family Residential 0verla~' District and for <br />regulations and r~quirements 'wit'h respect.. t. hereto . <br /> <br />Mr. Hirst .explained this proposed ordinance and requested an additional <br />two weeks time to put it into final form. <br /> <br />HR-14370 Legislation . <br /> <br />Mr. Hirst explained t/~e two summaries of this House~ General Revenue <br />Sharing Bill. One of these prepared by the National League of Cities <br />United States Conference of Mayors and the other by the League of <br />California Cities in Sacramento. Mayor Reid explained this bill in <br />detail and outlined the need for it as the staff was unable to acquire <br />copies of it. <br /> <br />After some discussion on this matter, it was moved by Councilman <br />Mori and seconded by Councilman Kinney that Resolution NO. 72-78, <br />supporting HR-14370, the State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act of <br />1972, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 2. 5-8-72 <br /> <br /> <br />
