Go McDonald~ Preso~ Del Prado Homeowners Assn.} Re: <br /> Rezoning of certain parcels in MackaX <br /> This matter was continued to January 8, 1973, for further study. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Pearson, and seconded by Councilman Mori, that the <br /> meeting be adjourned. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Mori and Pearson <br /> NOES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, and Mayor Reid <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS (Contd.) <br /> Report of the City Attorney~ Re: Guidelines re~ardin~ Determination as to whether <br /> Environmental Impact Statements are required for pendin~ applications <br /> Mro Hirst presented his suggested resolution regarding recent legislation on <br /> Environmental Impact Statements with reference to pending applications. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Mori, that <br /> Resolution No. 72-212, regarding standards to be relied upon in applying environ- <br /> mental factors in connection with approvals of "projects" during the 120 days <br /> moratorium period provided for by Assembly Bill AB889, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Report of the ConsUltant~ Re: Relocation of City Offices to Civic Center site <br /> It was moved by Councilman Pearson that this matter be deferred until the <br /> next meeting. There was no second to this motion. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid commented that he felt it important to authorize the staff to <br /> proceed with this project and that he favored Option No. 3, a permanent structure. <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson stated the Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant should receive <br /> first priority, and that the matter of the Civic Center site should be referred <br />_ to the General Plan Review Committee for further study° <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney stated that the site had already been determined in the <br /> General Plan, and it is a priority that we should look into right now. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy commented that the Civic Center site was a good location, <br /> that the City definitely needed better office facilities, and he favored Alter- <br /> nate No= 3 of the Consultant's report. <br /> <br /> Councilman Mori stated that the present City offices were totally inadequate <br /> and if the City staff is expected to function properly, adequate facilities <br /> should be provided. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, to <br /> accept the report presented by the Consultant, Jack Bras, and authorize the <br /> staff co prepare the standard architectural contract for approval, and to pro- <br /> ceed with the preparation of plans and specifications for City offices as out- <br /> lined in Proposal No. 3 of the Consultant's report. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: Councilman Pearson <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Counciiman Pearson reiterated his feelings that the Sunol Sewage Treatment <br /> Plant should receive first priority. <br /> <br /> Report of the Traffic Sa£ety Committee~ Re: Traffic Safety Recommendations <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the report regarding this matter, stating that it was <br /> only informational at this time, and should be scheduled for specific discus- <br /> sion later. <br /> <br /> 6. 12/18/72 <br /> <br /> <br />
