Mr. Joseph Madden, 3851 Vineyard Avenue, asked if the BART Station location <br /> would be affected by the location of the regional shopping center site. Mr. <br /> Edgar stated the BART Board was in the very preliminary stages of selecting a <br /> station location, and the location of the center would have a bearing on the <br /> station site. <br /> <br /> Mr. Victor Bailey, 4565 Black Avenue, asked if the two level parking at <br /> Stoneridge would be on two floors. Mr. Naggar replied that the split level <br /> parking would be at grade. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ted Fairfield spoke regarding the deferring of a decision until a <br /> later date, stating a delay may well be the death knell for a regional shopping <br /> center for Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mr. Yvan Albert, President of Stoneridge Homeowners Association, stated the <br /> homeowners in the Stoneridge area support the regional shopping center on the <br /> Stoneson site. <br /> <br /> Mr. Robert E. Lee, 4938 Drywood, stated that one homeowners association is <br /> not representative of the feelings of the entire communitye <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, it was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and <br /> seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the Public Hearing be closed. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori Pearson and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson stated that whatever decision the Council made would have <br /> a profound effect on the City and urged that the site decision be included in <br /> the General Plan Review, so the citizenry could have input in the decision. <br /> <br /> Councilman Mori stated he did not agree, and felt the Council should make a <br />decision as expeditiously as possible. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy stated he felt time was needed to investigate the sites <br />more thoroughly, and moved that the matter be continued to the meeting of <br />October 9th, in order to allow further study of public improvement cost analy- <br />sis figures to the City for each site, and traffic circulation impact estimates <br />for both potential shopping centers. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid continued the matter to October 9, 1972o <br /> <br /> The Public Hearings were recessed in order that the following item could be <br />heard in its time order. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Robert E. Lee, 4938 Drywood, addressed the Chair regarding the following <br />items: <br /> <br />1. Cats - Is there a leash law? The staff replied there was none. <br />2. BART - When would there be a shuttle bus to Pleasanton? Mr. Edgar stated <br /> it would be next Spring. <br />3. Tele-Vue - Commended the improvement of service, and asked if a Cable <br /> Committee had been established and if the rate on a second outlet <br /> had been established. Mr. Edgar stated he would contact Mr. Lee <br /> regarding these matters. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid recessed the meeting at 10:35 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid reconvened the meeting at 10:40 P.M. <br /> <br /> 4. 9/11/72 <br /> <br /> <br />
