City Attorney be authorized to prepare the necessary documents, to be completed <br /> by October 9, 1972, for signature by all principles involved, which would accompany <br /> the adoption of the modified truck route ordinance (Noo 670), and employ the fol- <br /> lowing specifics: <br /> <br /> 1. Santa Rita Road would no longer be used by truck traffic upon the execution <br /> of the agreement between the City and the companies° <br /> <br />' 2. A cash outlay, by way of an unrefundable dona~ion~ in the amount of $30,000.00, <br /> would be provided by the g=avel companies° <br /> <br /> 3. An advance of materials for the First Street-Sunol Blvdo improvement project <br /> would be provided to the City by the gravel companies, to be reimbursed from <br /> sales tax revenue over a five (5) year period. <br /> <br /> 4. The gravel companies would designate the City of Pleasanton as the sales office <br /> for sales tax purposes for all local materials of the four companies and to <br /> take the appropriate steps to establish the office~ <br /> <br /> 5. The gravel companies would be expected to present quarterly and annual reports <br /> Cit ' <br /> of traffic volumes for the y s review regarding the First Street-Sunol Blvd. <br /> route. <br /> <br /> 6. The gravel companies, in cooperation with the City and County, must agree to <br /> proceed immediately to encourage construction within five (5) years of a public <br /> road between Highway 580 and Stanley Blvd. <br /> <br /> 7. With regard to the Stoneson site there is the Stoneridge Inter- <br /> change to be considered as well as the widening of Foothill Road, together with <br /> many other problems related to the physical development ~f the site. With refer- <br /> ence to the Willow West site there is a problem of land use cGnsiderations. <br /> <br /> Mr. Castro elaborated on the reports, stating the plans were almost identical <br /> for each shopping center. Both are proper and adequate for commercial purposes. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid stated the philosophy of the General Plan designated three possible <br /> sites for regional shopping centers, thus placing the City in a better position <br /> of getting viable applications.
