MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 11, 1972 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Reid called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 7:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. Edgar, <br /> City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr~ Campbell, Director of Public Works, <br /> and Mr. Castro, Director of Community Development, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mayor Reid requested that Item 6 be heard before Item 5 on the agenda. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Council Mori that the <br /> following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for September 5, 1972. <br /> <br />b. Waive reading of Ordinance No. 673, an ordinance authorizing an amendment to <br /> the contract between the City Council and the Board of Administration of the <br /> California Public Employees Retirement System. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 673. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 72-155, approving plans and specifications and <br /> authorization to advertise for bids; Project 72-5, Water Line Improvements, <br /> Stoneridge Drive. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Waive reading of Ordinance No. 667~ an ordi~nc.~ amending Chapter V of Title V of <br />.~he Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relating to truck routes by the de- <br />letion thereof and the addition of a new Chapter V relatin~ to the regulation of <br />the use of City Streets by trucks <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 667 <br /> <br />Waive readin~ of Ordinance No. 670.~ an ordinance amending Chapter V of Title V of <br />the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relatin.~ to truck routes by the de- <br />letion thereof and the addition of a new Chapter V relating to the regulation of <br />.~he use of City Streets by trucks~ .eXempting the Stanley Blvdo-First St.-Sunol <br />Blvd. routes from the provisions of the ordinance <br /> <br />~doption of Ordinance No. 670 <br /> Mayor Reid recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 7:10 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid reconvened the meeting at 7:40 P.M. <br /> <br /> After concurrence by the gravel companies, represented by Mr. Boris Lakusta, <br />it was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the <br /> <br /> <br />
