Mrs. William Kpupke, 5234 Muirwood Drive, stated that she felt septic and hold- <br />ing tanks should be considered on an application by application basis in rural areas <br />within the City Limits. <br /> <br /> Vic Lund, Jr~, 164 Main Street, stated that after reviewing the staff report, <br />he was in opposition to the ten acre minimum for septic tanks. He urged serious <br />study with regard to holding tanks as it is the only viable means for industrial <br />development. On behalf of the Industrial Committee, Mr. Lund asked that this <br />matter be continued for further study~ <br /> <br /> Brad Hirst, 2456 Minivet Court, questioned some of the conditions set forth in <br />the holding tank policy and recommended that the City Council maintain a flexible <br />position on this policy. <br /> <br /> Dick Braden, MacKay and Somps, requested a study session be scheduled to dis- <br />cuss this matter. <br /> <br /> Ted Fairfield, MacKay and Somps, recommended postponement of a decision on this <br />matter for further study. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson declared this item continued to the meeting of July 16th. <br /> <br />Report of. the Director of .Fi~l.d Sery.~.ce.s~ Re: Progress Report regarding Proposed <br />Maintenance Program for the 1973-74 Fiscal Year <br /> Mr. Edgar introduced Mr. Arnold Eaton, newly appointed Director of Field Services. <br />Mr. Eaton presented his report, dated June 21, 1973, regarding goals and objectives <br />of the Field Services Department.. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, to <br />accept the report of the Director of Field Services regarding proposed Maintenance <br />Program and to approve the goals and objectives of this Department. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Mori and Reid <br /> <br />Approval of Plans and Specifications for .street improvements~...Santa.
