Mr~ Scheidig explained ~ha~ he had been advised that the proposed changes had been discussed with representatives of the IAFF and some were included in past Memorandums of Understandzng~ Mr. Larry Miller, Administrative Assistant, confirmed the fact that he had met wi~h representatives of the IAFF and discussed the items to be included in the Personnel Rules with them. In addition, it was noted that most of the items were previously negotiated with the Firemen and were implemented ove~ a ye~ agog, In addition, Mr~ Scheidig pointed out that in addition to Mr~ Miller's conversation with IAFF representatives, the proposed changes were included in t~e Budge~ Message included in the 1973-74 Budget~ It was moved by Councilman K~nnay, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that Ordinance No. 699, amending Eection 3 of Ordinance Noo 626 (an ordinance relating to Personnel Practices and a~thorizing the adoption by resolution of Personnel Rules and Regulations) o~ the City of Pleasanton relating to the composition of the Personnel Committee, be in~roduced, to be read by title only waiving further reading thereof. The roll call vote was as ~ollows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, and Mayor Pearson NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Mori and Reid Report, Re: Status Report ~ega~d_i.n~ the proposed Joint Powers A~reement to implement the Water Management Plan Mr. Scheidig presented his report regarding this matter, explaining various changes and recommendations made by the Pleasanton City Council, Livermore City Council and V.C.S.D~, plus new recommendations. He stated the next Water Interest Committee meeting is July llth, and he would have more information after that time. Councilman Herlihy stated he had reservations regarding the Joint Powers Agree- ment for implementation o~ the Water Management Plan. Mayor Pearson declaimed thzs matter be an agenda item on July 16th. Report~ Re: Animal Control_Fees____amendin~ Ordinance No. 585 Mr~ Scheidig presented his report regarding this matter, stating that the City recently has been notified by Alameda County Field Services that a new fee schedule pertaining to charges for animals is to take effect on July 1, 1973, and if the City does not amend its £ee schedule in line with that of Alameda County the City will be charged the difference between our present rate and Alameda County's new rate. The proposed ordinance would remove the fees from the Ordinance Code in order to place them into a ~esolution o£ fees and charges for various municipal services. It was moved by Councilman Heriihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that Ordinance No~ 700, amending T~le iV, Chapter 3, of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, relating to ani~l control, be introduced.
