REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER (Contd.) <br />Report~ Re: Purchase of One (1) Animal Control Truck <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the staff report regarding this matter, stating that this <br />truck was needed by July 1st, to initiate the Animal Control Program. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Reid, that <br />Resolution No. 73-92, awarding the purchase of one (1) Animal Control Truck to <br />Codiroli Ford, Livermore, at a cost of $5,796.00, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested that selection of the color of the truck be <br />made at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Review of Bids; Award of Contract.. on Weed Abatement fo~ City of Pleasanton <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the staff report regarding this matter, stating that the <br />City has received only one response to its request for bids on this project. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Reid, that <br />Resolution No. 73-93, awarding the contract for abatement of weeds in 1973 to <br />Spilker Tree Service, Inc., Concord, and authorizing the Mayor to execute a <br />contract to have said work performed, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr~ Edgar presented a memorandum from the Director of Community Development <br />concerning the Richards property. This matter is informational only, and no <br />action is required. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a memorandum from the Fire Chief regarding Safe and Sane <br />Fireworks, and requested the City embark on a public relations program on the <br />prohibition of fireworks in the City. <br /> <br /> Mro Edgar presented a letter from Mr. Robert Lee, 4938 Drywood Street, re- <br />garding a speed limit sign on Muirwood Drive. The letter was referred to the <br />Traffic Committee for review. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from Fred P.
