MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> Appeal of Johnp~indim~i~ 592 Mission Dr.~ Pleasanton~ of the Plannin~ Commission <br /> decision apj~rovip~ a Conditional Use Permit for the cons~uction of the Pleasanton <br /> Joint School District Administration Office to be located on the district school <br /> site in the Mission Park Development <br /> This item was continued to the meeting of April 23, 1973, in order to allow the <br /> School District and the City more time to resolve this matter~ <br /> <br /> Approval o51A~reement between City of Pleasanton and Traffic Signa]Re~_~3!~Coc~ Inc.~ <br /> for traffic signal maintenance <br /> This item had been continued from the meeting of March 19, 1973~ Mr~ Campbell <br /> presented the staff report regarding this matter, clarifying some items in the <br /> agreement~ <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br /> Resolution No~ 73-46, approving an agreement between City of Pleasanton and Traffic <br /> Signal Repair Co~, Inc., for traffic signal maintenance, be adopted° <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Further Ci~M Council action~ Re: Adoption of resolution to a_pJ~~riate <br /> provisions of the Vehicle Code to .private streets in Pleasanton Park Villas Area <br /> and Laguna Vista Estates area <br /> Mr~ Hirst presented the proposed resolution regarding this matter pertaining to <br /> private streets and regulations applicable thereto~ <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid asked if there were any changes in Sub-section la that would make <br /> the traffic regulations different from what is now being imposed by the Cityo Mr. <br /> Hirst replied that these are the same traffic provisions which apply to the rest <br /> of the City~ <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Mori, that <br />Resolution Noo 73-47, to apply appropriate provisions of the Vehicle Code to <br />private streets in Pleasanton Park Villas Area and Laguna Vista Estates Area, <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor' Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Report of the Planning Commission~ Re: Youth Sports Park - General Plan Amendments <br /> Mr. Patton presented the staff report and displayed a map of the general plan <br />of the Park~ He explained minor changes which have been made to the plan, which <br />have been reviewed and approved by the Planning Commission and the Park and Recrea- <br />tion Commission, Mr. Patton stated that a letter had been delivered this afternoon <br />to the homeowners whose property abutted the Park, regarding this matter~ <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar stated that first phase development plans were underway in the <br />Engineering Division at this time and that working drawings would come before <br />the City Council when completed, and the residents of the area would be advised <br />and informed regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested that the intersection at Valley Trails Drive and <br />Hopyard Road be studied in regard to traffic, and that as the Park developed <br />traffic circulation be considered as a major ingredient of the development plan. <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson commented he was in agreement with Councilman Herlihy's <br />remarksl <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid s~ated his concern regarding the need for an access right-of-way <br />aU the southerly portion of the Park and requested this be made a condition for <br />approval of the Youth Sports Park plan. <br /> <br /> 2. 3/26/73 <br /> <br /> <br />
