MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> March 26, 1973 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER. - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br /> order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Herllhy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid were present~ Mr~ Edgar, <br />City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and <br />Mr. Patton, Director of Park and Recreation, were present~ Mro Castro, Director of <br />Community Development, was absent. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mrs/} Helen Robinson requested that on Page 1 in regard to amendments tlQ the <br />Minutes of March 12, 1973, that AB 1301 referred to in her remarks should be <br />California Government Code 65858. <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson requested that an amendment be made to the Minutes on Page <br /> 5, under Report, Re: Application to hold Country Jamboree at Fairgrounds, to include <br /> the statement that "the service contract with the Fair is now in preparation and <br /> should be ready for review in about one month". <br /> <br /> Mayoz Reid flequested that an amendment be made to the Minutes on.~age 4, under <br />Approval o~ Final Map and Public Improvements, Tract 3311, Val Vista, that Mr. <br />Hirst's remarks be expanded to include "and because of the Court Ruling a 'No~ <br />vote would be ~n violation of the Court ruling". <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori and seconded by Councilman Herlihy that the <br /> following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved as amended: <br /> <br />a. Approval oi City Council Minutes of March 19, 1973, as amended~ <br /> <br />b. Waive reading of Ordinance No. 694, application of the Planning Commission <br /> of the City of Pleasanton to amend Sec. 2-5.47(f), Article 3, Chapter 2, <br /> Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to require screen- <br /> ing oi vehicles or appurtenances stored in required sideyards and areas be- <br /> tween ~equ~red front yards and the fronts of structures~ <br /> <br /> c~ Adoption o~ Ordinance No. 694. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-45, approving City Council endorsement of the <br /> Valley-wide Fire Manpower Utilization Study financed through the Inter- <br /> governmental Personnel Act. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Robert Reid introduced Mr. Ken Scheidig, new City Attorney~ Mr. Hirst <br />comnented regarding the high qualifications and experience of Mr'~ Scheidig, and <br />extended congratulations to Mro Scheidig and to the City Council on this appoint- <br />ment~ <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> There were no public hearings scheduled for this meeting~ <br /> <br /> <br />
