Report o.f the City Attorney~ Re: Review of Po.lic~ on Financial Institutions in the <br />Downtown Area <br /> Mr. Hirst presented the policy resolution delineating minor changes in the lan- <br />guage of the policy. <br /> <br /> Councilman Mori stated he felt the Ordinance was too restrictive. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney commented that this policy is a positive step forward as far <br />as the downtown area is concerned and that he would support it. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br />Resolution No. 73-34, regarding policy with respect to the location and construc- <br />tion of financial institutions including banks, savings and loan associations, <br />finance companies, credit unions and related services, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilmen Mori and Pearson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Waive reading of Ord~.na~Ce No. 690~ ..fo~ certain amendments to the Zoning Ordinance <br />~p implement the. Valle] Planning .Comm. i~ee~ Re: .Joint Powers Agreement <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the Joint Powers Agreement on Cooperative Planning for <br />Eastern Alameda County. He stated that the City of Livermore had approved this <br />agreement with minor modifications. <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson stated that now is the time to raise any objections to <br />this agreement. He further stated it is a mechanism to oversee Valley-wide plan- <br />ning. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Council- <br />man Kinney, to approve the Joint Powers Agreement on Cooperative Planning for <br />Eastern Alameda County, with the revision that the membership of the proposed <br />Conm~ission be limited to nine (9) members, three each from the Cities of Liver- <br />more and Pleasanton and Alameda County. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Environmental Impact Statement Determination~ Re: Proposed Medical/Dental Suite <br />at 1439 Cedarwood Lanes.
