69 <br /> <br /> in conjunction with the highway and the other showing only the road~ The <br /> latter would allow no further dwelling units while the former would permit <br /> an additional 500 units in the entire Pleasanton-Dublin Hill area° <br /> <br /> Mrs. Helen Robinson, 1312 Vintner Way, asked the City Council to request the <br />Board of Supervisors to postpone a decision on this matter until completion of <br />the General Plan Review and recommendations regarding this area. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, authorizing <br />staff to write a letter to Alameda County supporting the planning recommendations <br />currently contained in the Preliminary General Plan Review for the City which con- <br />forms to Alameda County Planning staff's recommendation No. 2b. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Request of William Apperson for the provision of Sewa~e..~reatment to his Develop- <br />ment <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the background material regarding this matter, and stated <br />that now Mr. Apperson is requesting the City to meet with the Regional Water Quality <br />Control Board in an effort to solve the sewage problem at Mr. Apperson's proposed <br />guest ranch. <br /> <br /> Mr. Apperson displayed a drawing of his proposed development and sewage treat- <br />ment facility, which must be supervised and monitored by a governmental agency. He <br />stated the County and V.C.S.D. had refused to do this, and that the City and County <br />of San Francisco was not allowed to, and requested the City of Pleasanton to look <br />into the possibility of supervising and monitoring this sewage treatment facility. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson stated a decision regarding this matter should be made very <br />carefully. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, authoriz- <br />ing the City Manager and City Attorney to meet with Mro Apperson and representatives <br />of the Re io~l Wat~r Q~ality~ontrol Board to determine the feasibility of the City <br />to provide~'~ tr~a~m~tU the guest ranch development on a contractural basis. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, and Reid <br />NOES: Mayor Pearson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Request from pl~as~n~o.n Art ~ague, Re: Sign <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a request from the Pleasanton Art League to hand a banner <br />across Main Street beneath the Pleasanton sign from October 20 through 28, 1973, <br />advertising the 4th Annual Fall Art Show. <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles Irby, Show Chairman, 6244 Gibson Court, stated this was the same <br />sign that the City Council approved last April for their Spring Show. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, to approve <br />the request of the Pleasanton Art League to hand a banner beneath the Pleasanton <br />sign ohMSin Street from October 20 through 28, 1973, subject to the proper regula- <br />tions pertaining to this sign. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: Councilmen Kinney and Mori <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Review of Resolutions~ Re: Action Plan <br /> This item was continued to the meeting of October 15, 1973, for further study <br />and review. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Report of the Park and R~reation Commission~ Re: Cultural Arts <br /> Mr. Campbell presented the staff report regarding this matter, stating that the <br />Milk Barn was structurally not feasible for renovation, therefore, the Park and <br />Recreation Commission recommended using relocatable portables on this site. <br /> <br /> 4. 10/8/73 <br /> <br /> <br />
