Mr. Castro presented the staff report regarding this matter, stating that the <br />applicant, Iacono and Drews, had requested permission to construct four warehouse <br />buildings even though tenants had not been secured. He stated the Planning Com- <br />mission had approved this application subject to conditions, one of which <br />specifically reminds the developer that sanitary sewer is not available in this <br />a~ea and that prior to any private sewage disposal system being installed that <br />authorization will have to come from the City Council~ <br /> <br /> M=~ Paul Iacono, representing the applicant, stated that four buildings had <br />already been constructed and were 100% occupied, and he anticipated no problem <br />of leasing space in the proposed buildings at which time private sewage disposal <br />systems would be requested° <br /> <br /> Mr~ Scheidig reminded the City Council that the Regional Water Quality Control <br />Board requires a report at time of issuance of building permits with private sew- <br />age disposal systems. He also reminded the Council that they recently had adopted <br />procedures for processing requests for Holding Tanks and Septic Tanks. <br /> <br /> In view of the recently adopted policy regarding Septic and Holding Tanks, <br />Mayor Pearson declared this matter be continued to the meeting of October 8, 1973, <br />to allow the applicant to present additional information regarding the private <br />sewage disposal requirements for the four proposed warehouses in question. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson recessed the meeting at 9:30 P.M~ <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson reconvened the meeting at 9:40 P.M, <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br />Resolution No. 73-154, commending Doris George for having the foresight to have <br />a birthday which coincides so nicely with the City Council meeting and wishing <br />hera happy birthday, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS .(Con~.) <br />Report of the Traffic Advisor~ Co.mmitt~e~ Re: Recommendations <br /> Mr. Campbell presented the recommendations of the Traffic Advisory Committee, <br />as follows: (1) Provide right turn lane on Neal at Main Street for better traffic <br />flow and eliminate parking spaces as may be necessary in this area; and (2) Pro- <br />vide southbound lane lines and place raised dots on Sunol Boulevard, lane lines <br />to be placed either from Kaiser or Casa Verde to intersection of First and Main <br />Street=!. <br /> <br /> The City Council determined that Item 1 be referred to the Central Business <br />District Committee for their review and recommendation regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilman Reid suggested that an overall study be made of the traffic problems <br />in the downtown area for Council review. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, approving <br />that southbound lane lines be provided on Sunol Boulevard from Kaiser to First and <br />Main Street, by raised dots. <br />The ~oll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Report~ Re: Rroposal from Kenned~ Engineers to perform work related to the pro3ect <br />~.eport for I.n~.erceptor Sewer Line nece~ar~ to phase out the Pleasanton Plant in <br />accordance with Federal and State Gran~ requirements <br /> <br /> 3. 9/24/73 <br /> <br /> <br />
