The assessed value of Pleasanton for 1973-74 is $98,680,493., an increase of <br />$7,496,811~ cr 8,2% above the 1972-73 roll. The budget assessed value estimate <br />was $1,736,880 high, therefore, property tax revenue will be approximately $25,000. <br />less than an~icipated~ A tax increase of about three cents would be required to <br />offset the reduced revenue. <br /> <br /> Mrs; Edgar explained the alternatives which could be taken to balance the <br />Budget as follows: <br />1.Absorb the $25,000~00 to come out of the General Fund. <br /> Raise the tax rate 3¢. <br /> Allocate a small amount of the Revenue Sharing money. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney stated he felt the Budget should be readjusted so there <br />would be no increase in taxes. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson suggested the money be allocated from Revenue Sharing money. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Reid, that Resolution <br />No. 73-142, to increase the tax rate 3¢ per $100. of assessed value, as follows: <br /> <br /> District No. 1 <br /> <br /> 1972-73 Recommend 1973-74 <br /> Tax Rate Increase Recommended <br /> Genezal Fund $1.22 "$' .03 $1.25 <br /> Park and Recreation .35 .35 <br /> Debt Service ~06 .06 <br /> <br /> $1.63 $ .03 $1.66 <br /> District No. 2 <br /> <br /> 1972-73 Recommended 1973-74 <br /> Tax Rate Increase Recommended <br /> General Fund $1.22 $ .03 $1.25 <br /> Park and Recreation .35 .35 <br /> Debt Service .05 .05 <br /> <br /> $1.62 $ .03 $1.65 <br /> <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herllhy, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: Councilman Kinney <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report~ ~e: Specific Applications for Holding Tanks <br />Mr. Campbell presented the staff report regarding this matter, stating there were <br />seven applications for holding tanks. <br /> <br /> It was moved by CounCilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, to approve <br />applications for holding tanks, upon contract in compliance with the requirements as <br />determined by City Council policy adopted tonight, as follows: <br /> <br /> Donald Clemetson, D.D.S., and Edward W. Schlies, M.D., dated June 7, 1973, to <br /> utilize a 5,000 gallon holding tank for a 30,000 square feet medical office <br /> facility on the northeast corner of Santa Rita Road and Mohr Avenue. <br /> <br />2,1 Frank Au~ der Maur, dated July 2, 1973, to utilize a 5,000 gallon holding tank <br /> for a 5,000 square feet medical office facility at 1439 Cedarwood Lane. <br /> <br />3. Frank Auf de= Mawr, dated July 2, 1973, to utilize a 10,000 gallon holding tank <br /> for a 16,200 square feet commercial building on Stanley Boulevard immediately <br /> east o£ the old Berry Farm. <br /> <br /> 8/20/73 <br /> <br /> <br />
