offered to $~ll the Ci=y she 1,000 GPM F~mper for $36,620o00 plus sales tax° The <br />truck dDes meet ~he speci~i~;ations required by ~he Fire Department, <br /> <br /> Councilman Her]lhy and Mayor Pearson expressed concern ~egarding th~ reputation <br />of the Boardman Company= <br /> <br /> Councilman Reid sta~ed he ielt bids should be scented in the normal process on <br />this item~ The City Attorney indicated that %he City is not required to go to bid <br />on this type of item~ <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and aeaonded b~ Councilman Morl, su~horizing <br />the staff to accept the offer o~ the Boardman Company, O~lahoma C~y, Oklahoma, to <br />buy the 1,000 GFMPumper at <br />The roll call vote was as ~ollows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mcri, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: Co~ncilman Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Approval of ~.te.~ Re: Master' Plan for ~air <br /> Mr. Edgar stated ~hat as a resul~ of a meeting en October 26, 1973, In Bill <br />Fraley's office, Alameda County Planning Department, some tentative procedures <br />that would involve the City in the development plans ef the Alamed~ Cc. un~;y Fair- <br />grounds were developed as follows: (1) The Fair will. provide ~he City with a <br />conceptual plan for ~he ultimate development of the Fairgroundso The plan would <br />include the street and utility system as sown on the Fair's Master Plan, but not <br />specific uses or building locations; (2) The Fair will provide a c. opy of the five <br />year plan that is now required by the Sta~e each year, for the City's comment; <br />(3) The County Public Works' Department will provide the City with copies of all <br />Environmental Impact Reports prepared for all projects on the Fairgrounds, for <br />the City's con~ent; and (4) The projects to be constructed on that par!~ of the <br />Fairgrounds within ~he City, will be processed thro~gh the City Planning Commis- <br />sion, for review and content. <br /> <br /> Mr~ Edgar requesCed approval of a letter written ~e Alameda Cc. unty Fairgrounds <br />confirming these procedures~! <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Bows, 6575 Pesos Santa Cruz, ~epresen=ing Del Prado Homeowners, stated <br />that because of the p~oximity oi this Subdivision ~o the Fairgrounds, this Home- <br />owners Associatios is vitally interest in any furthe~ deuelopment of the Fair- <br />grounds and would appreciate being notified o~ an~ plans for such~ He was ad- <br />vised that plans had ~!ot officially been presented as yet but his group would be <br />kept apprised of such plans~ <br /> <br /> Mr~ ;Jim I~imingham, Co-Chairman of the Cit]zens Genera] Plan Review CDm~ittee, <br />stated that this Comm1~tee had voted to urge %he ~air Association to disclose their <br />proposed Master Pi~In be£o~e the City Council at a public hearing. <br /> <br /> The City Council authoEized the City Manager to send his letter to the Fair <br />Association ~egarding tentative procedures in the developmen~ of the Fairgrounds. <br /> <br />Repor_ttj~:___Am_bulanc_~e Service Fee Increase and Sab~siJ_ZAd_~ustment <br /> Mr, Edgar stated [hat the amount of money being requested over last year is <br />the result o~ a contractual obligation as a result of ~he allowable profit given <br />to the Ambulances Company, and that based upon the Hospital analysis the ~ee <br />structure should be increased thereby reducing the subsidy.~ <br /> <br /> Mr~ WalkerTM p~esen~ed the staff report reg~Edtng this matter, sta~ing that <br />the ag,:eement between ~he three local public agencies and the Ambulance Company <br />provides fore subsidy adjustment each year~. The subsidy from each local agency <br />must be increased from $700~00 to $1,012~50pe~ month fo~ 1973-74. The Ambulance <br />Company has asked fore fee increase to take place immediately so that the sub- <br />sidy might be reduced in £ollowing years=> <br /> <br /> It was moved by Coancilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman He~lihy, <br />approving a modification to Exhibit B to allow the monthly subsidy paid <br />Pleasanton to Allen's Ambulance Company be increased to $1,012~,50 as re- <br />quired by the Agreement, and that the Ambulance Company be permitted to in-- <br />crease their fee charges on Pick-up to $45.00, plus $2.00 per mile Mlleage Fee~ <br /> <br /> i0/29/~3 <br /> <br /> <br />
