Councilwoman LeClaire and Councilman Kinney requested more option on consultant <br />service fees. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, approv- <br />ing the Capital Improvement Project completion schedule for 1974-75, and authoriz- <br />ing the staff to negotiate agreements for the consulting services as outlined, and <br />to bring the agreements back to the City Council for approval as soon as possible. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman PhilcOx, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Cultural Arts Building Fi.~ncin~ <br /> Mayor Mori declared this item continued to the meeting of June 24, 1974. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar presented progress report #10 for June from Preserve Area Ridgelands <br />Committee. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar advised he would be out of the City on June 13, 14, and 17, 1974. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Reports, Re: Amendments to Environmental Guidelines <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report,Ildated 'JUn~ 6, 1974, regarding this matter, <br />stating that it is necessary for the City CouBcil to amend the Environmental <br />Impact Report Guidelines in order to take advantage of a shorter statute of limi- <br />tations for certain projects and also to clarify administrative procedures for <br />processing Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br />Resolution No. 74-133, amending the Environmental Impact Report Guidelines <br />approved by Resolution No. 74-24, to include the filing of a Notice of Exemption <br />for projects which are exempt from the requirement of preparing an Envlfonmental <br />Impact Report in order to take advantage of a shorter statute of limitations, <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Heriihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, COuncilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br />Resolution Ne. 74-134, amending Resolution No. 73-61, to include a procedure <br />for the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports whereby the City will select <br />the consultant to prepare the report in situations where the City staff is un- <br />able to do so, and private developers will pay for the costs of such reports, <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: CoUndilme~ Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Fire Fighters Suit <br /> Mr. Scheidig stated that the Council received a copy of the premanent in- <br />junction in the above suit this evening from a member of the Union.
