Mr. Edgar stated this ordin'a~ce was introduced 'on Ray 29, 1974, and that it is now in order to adopt the ordinance. It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by CoUncilman Kinney, that Ordinance No. 727, approvlng application of Joseph Madden to reZone from A (Agricultural) to C-S (Commercial Service) District, approx. five acres located between Santa Rita Road and the Tassajara Canal approx. 900 feet south of High- way 1-580, Pleasanton, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, and Philcox NOES: Councilwoman LeClaire, and Mayor Mori ABSENT: None Councilman Kinney requested that a report regarding effect of uses in C-S zoning on surrounding area, be included in future applications for rezoning. Supplemental Report~ Re: Harris Acres Wat~ Problem ~ Mr. Eaton presented the staff report, dateH JUne 6, 1974, regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, to approve the installation of the pressure regulating valve by City forces as soon as possible, and further study this area as well as much of the old down- town area to develop a plan to install properly sized new mains to deliver adequate water for domestic and commercial use and also proper fire protection. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: None MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Raymond T. Diamond, 9086 Longview Drive, addressed the City Council regarding his remarks made earlier to the Council relating to ReStricted Growth Policy on Longview. He stated he was there only in the interest of finding a solution to the drainage problem in this area. Ed Meyers and James Ahrens concurred. Mayor Mori requested a report from Mr. Campbell regarding this matter to be placed on the agenda for the meeting of June 24, 1974. Mayor Mori recessed the meeting at 10:10 P.M. Mayor Mori reconvened the meeting at 10:15 P.M.
