MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />~option of Ordinance No. 727, approving application of Joseph Madden to rezone <br />from A (Agricultural) to C-S (Commercial S~rvice) pistrict~ approx. five acres <br />located between Santa Rita Road ~d theT~ssaJa'r~anai approxi 900 feet south <br />of Hi~hWa7 1-580, Pleasant0n (IntroduCedon 5-29-74 ~y3-2v6~e) .... <br /> Mr. Edgar stated this ordin'a~ce was introduced 'on Ray 29, 1974, and that it <br />is now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by CoUncilman Kinney, that <br />Ordinance No. 727, approvlng application of Joseph Madden to reZone from A <br />(Agricultural) to C-S (Commercial Service) District, approx. five acres located <br />between Santa Rita Road and the Tassajara Canal approx. 900 feet south of High- <br />way 1-580, Pleasanton, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, and Philcox <br />NOES: Councilwoman LeClaire, and Mayor Mori <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney requested that a report regarding effect of uses in C-S <br />zoning on surrounding area, be included in future applications for rezoning. <br /> <br />Supplemental Report~ Re: Harris Acres Wat~ Problem <br />~ Mr. Eaton presented the staff report, dateH JUne 6, 1974, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, to <br />approve the installation of the pressure regulating valve by City forces as <br />soon as possible, and further study this area as well as much of the old down- <br />town area to develop a plan to install properly sized new mains to deliver <br />adequate water for domestic and commercial use and also proper fire protection. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Raymond T. Diamond, 9086 Longview Drive, addressed the City Council regarding <br />his remarks made earlier to the Council relating to ReStricted Growth Policy on <br />Longview.
