<br /> Mro Scheidig presented his report, dated May 23, 1974, regarding this matter,
<br />stating that the 1973 editions are now available and it is necessary for the
<br />Council to adopt said codes by reference and establish a public hearing regarding
<br />the same~

<br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that
<br /> the £ollowing action be taken:

<br />1. Int~oduc~ion of Ordinance No. 728, to be read by title only and waive further
<br /> reading thereo~, adopting the 1973 Edition of the Uniform Building Code as
<br /> published by the International Conference of Building Officials, the 1973
<br /> Edition o~ the Uniform Mechanical Code as published by the International
<br /> Conference of Building Officials and the International Association of Plumb-
<br /> ing and Mechanical Officials, and the 1973 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing
<br /> Code published by the International Association of Mechanical and Plumbing
<br /> Officials by reference together with certain changes, fixing penalties for
<br /> vlolat]o~ and amending the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton accord-
<br /> ].ngly

<br />2. Adopt Re~lution No. 74-124, finding that due to local conditions it is
<br /> necessary to make certain amendments to the 1973 Edition of the Uniform
