The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> SPECiAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> Report of the Plannin~ Cor~ntssion~ Re: Workload of p~annin~ commission <br /> Mayor Mori declared this item continued to the joint Study Session with the <br /> Planning Commission on June 3, 1974, at 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> Report of the Park and Recreation Commission~ Re: Historical SoCiety Liaison <br /> Mr, EdgarTM presented the staff report, dated May 23, 1974, regarding this matter, <br />recommending approval of a Liaison Committee formation between the Amador-Livermore <br />Historical Society and the City to assist in the following general areas: (1) In- <br />vestigation and evaluation of potential historical sites; (2) Examination and <br />evaluation of artifacts; (3) Cataloging and microfilming of historical documents; <br />(4) Furnishing of facts and speakers for testimony in historical matters before <br />governmental agencies; and (5) Aid in the support of special events of historical <br />significance that occur from time to time. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, approv- <br />ing the formation of a Liaison Committee between the Amador-Livermore Valley His- <br />torical Society and the City of Pleasanton as recommended in Park and Recreation <br />Commission Resolution No. 74-11. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER (Contd,) <br /> Report~ Re: Public Relations Activities normally shared with Chamber of Commerce <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the staff report, dated May 22, 1974, regarding this matter, <br />stating tha~ the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce previously provided certain services <br />to the City as a part of the annual subsidy payment, However, the agreement to <br />phase-out the City subsidy makes it necessary for the City to make the decision as <br />to which services to continue and to pay directly for those desired. <br /> <br /> The City Council took the following action: <br /> <br /> Instructed staff to meet with Chamber in an attempt to work out a more economical <br /> arrangement for Christmas decorations in the downtown area. <br /> <br />2. Eliminate the expense pertaining to the Fair Box and Street Decorations during <br /> the Fair, <br /> <br />3. Schedule a luncheon on Pleasanton Day at the Fair, inviting appropriate officials <br /> from the State and Regional agencies in order to explain Pleasanton's position <br /> more clearly~ <br /> <br />4.
