Mr. Bill Hirst, Attorney representing Pleasanton Garbage Service, stated his <br />client had reviewed all the relevant documents and was in agreement with them. <br /> <br /> Mr. John E. Ringer, 33 East Circle, Oakland, representing Clorox Technical <br />Center, addressed the Council regarding the effect the Franchise Agreement will <br />have on the daily operation of Clorox, currently being served by an independent <br />contractor, and stated he was satisfied with the Franchise Agreement as presented. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, <br />authorizing the Mayor to sign an agreement with Pleasanton Garbage, Inco,pertaining <br />to an exclusive franchise for disposal of holding tank wastes in the City of <br />Pleasanton. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire,.Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER (Contd.) <br />Report~ Re: Revenue Sharing Planning <br /> Mr. Walker presented the staff report, dated May 22, 1974, regarding this <br />matter, stating that the City is required to spend or appropriate $17,999.00 <br />prior to June 30, 1974, of $81,699.00 of Revenue Sharing funds which have not <br />been designated for any purpose at this time. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Suzanne Eggars, 1352 Harvest Road, requested that additional tennis <br />courts be included in the Revenue Sharing money allocation. <br /> <br /> After Council discussion regarding the allocation of Revenue Sharing funds, <br />Mayor Mori requested a report on the undergrounding of utilities. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br />Resolution No. 74-123, approving the staff report as submitted with allocations <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> Planned Use Report <br /> a~ Environmental Protection, Capital Improvement $8,300.00 <br /> <br /> Appropriate or Budget' <br /> a. Award of Bids re~ardin~ Youth Sports Park Phase I <br /> Mr. Sooby presented the staff report, dated May 24, 1974, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bowling presented a report regarding budgeted funds already spent or com- <br />mitted. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, that <br />the contract for construction of Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, Phase 1, <br />be awarded to Munkdale Bros., Inc., 1405 N. Carolan Avenue, Burlingame, and that <br />seal coating of the parking lot be added as an alternate bid item for $3,757.00, <br />for a total contract price of $132,413.00, and that an additional $28,000.00 be <br />allocated from uncommitted Revenue Sharing funds to complete this project. <br /> <br /> 7. 5/29/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
