It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br />Resolution No. 74-121, approving the application of Ralph P. Juhl, DDS, to amend <br />the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton from Medium and High Density Residen- <br />tial to Professional and Administrative Office for that approx. 2.4 acre parcel <br />of land located immediately west of Santa Rtta Road and 340 feet south of Black <br />Avenue, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, ' <br /> <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of Joseph Madden to rezone from A (Agricultural) to C-S (Commercial <br />Service) Districts approx. five acres located between Santa Rite Road and the <br />Tassajara Canal approx. 900 feet south of Hi~hwa7 1-580~ Pleasanton <br /> Mr. Edgar read a communication from Pleasanton Meadows Homeowners Association, <br />dated May 29, 1974, expressing opposition to any zoning which would increase truck <br />~raffic on TaesaJara-Santa Rita Road. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harris presented the staff report, dated May 22, 1974, regarding this matter. <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mro Joseph Madden, 3851 Vineyard Avenue, concurred with the staff report and <br />stated this area was designated Industrial on the General Plan long before Pleasan- <br />ton Meadows was developed and he did not feel it would substantially increase <br />traffic in this area. <br /> <br /> Mr. Don S. Theile, 3288 Picadilly Court, President of Pleasanton Meadows Home- <br />owners Association, requested that this application fcr rezoning not be approved <br />until proper access is provided to the property. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Jarnigin, 3262 Burgundy Drive, President of Vintage Hills Homeowners <br />Association, expressed this group's support to the efforts of the Pleasanton <br />Meadows Homeowners Association regarding traffic concerns. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilman <br />Kinney, that Ordinance No. 727, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, approving the application of Joseph Madden to fezone from A (Agricultural) <br />to C-S (Commercial Service) District, approx. five acres located between Santa Rita <br />Road and the TassaJara Canal approx. 900 feet south of Highway 1-580, Pleasanton, <br />be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, and Philcox <br />NOES: Councilwoman LeClaire and Mayor Mori <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of Graham-Hitch Mortuary for General Plan amendment for that 2.1 acre <br />parcel of land .1.yin~ immediately northwesterly of the inters.~.~.,tion of Hopyard.
