The intended use for this property is a commercial nursery <br /> for growing roses and seed crops, and in order to operate, the proponent <br /> needs a septic tank. Because of the location, sewer connection will not <br /> be forthcoming for some time, and the size of the parcel is sufficient <br /> to accommodate a septic tank, however, the number of tanks is dependent <br /> upon the decision of the Health Officer. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman <br /> Philcox, to conceptually approve the use Qf septic tanks on the pro- <br /> posed annexation of the DeVor property, subject, however to LAFCO and <br /> Council approval o~ the annexation and submittal of the necessary appli- <br /> cation for septic tanks. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Philcox, and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: Councilwoman LeClaire <br />AYE S: None <br /> <br /> Councilwoman LeClaire explained that she was deeply concerned <br />about the quality of water, and seismic concerns in the area, and <br /> felt that a holding tank should be used. <br /> <br />_Report, Re: Consultant Assistance for Employee-Employer Relations <br /> Mr. Edgar reviewed the staff report. V.C.S.D. and Livermore <br />have an approved agreement.
