LeClaire be appointed as a Board Member for the administra- <br />tion of CETA, and Mayor Mori be designated as Alternate. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Philcox, and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilwoman LeClaire <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Proposal b7 Pleasanton Garbage Service~ Re: Annual Spring Cleanup <br />Mr. Edgar presented the staff report regarding this matter, recommending three <br />free disposals of garden refuse at the dump site in lieu of the annual spring curb- <br />side pickup. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was the consensus of the City Council to leave the contract <br />as it is, which provides for one annual spring curbside pickup of garden refuse, and <br />to suggest to the Pleasanton Garbage Service that they also allow one free disposal <br />at the dump site. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar presented Progress Report No. 9, April, 1974, of Preserve Area <br />Ridgelands Committee. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from State Regional Water Quality Control Board, <br />dated April 4, 1974, to Richard Schumacher and Floyd Mori, regarding V.C.S.D., <br />Stage III Project, 1974-75. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Adoption of Wells Standard Resolution enforcing Ordinance No. 720~ adding Article <br />3 to Chapter 9 (Wa~er)~ Title II (Zonin~ and Development) of the Ordinance Code of <br />the City of Pleasanton <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report regarding this matter, stating that in order <br />to allow the County of Alameda to enforce the City Well Standards Ordinance in the <br />City as well as the unincorporated areas, it is necessary for the Council to adopt <br />a resolution. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br />Resolution No. 84-58, to enforce the provisions of Ordinance No. 720, adding <br />Article 3 to Chapter 9, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, <br />relating to water well standards, within the City limits of the City of Pleasanton, <br />and authorizing Alameda County as the enforcing agency, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Philcox, and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilwoman LeClaire <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Firefi~hters Union~ Local 1186 vs. Cit7 of ValleJo <br />Mr. Scheidig presented his report regarding this matter, stating that it is <br />recommended that the City Council authorize the City Attorney to participate as <br />an amicus curiae in the above case. <br /> <br /> 4. 4/8/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
