3O5 <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that <br /> the City Attorney be authorized to partake in amicus curiae participation in Fire- <br /> fighters Union, Local 1186 vs. City of ValleJo, etal. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Philcox, and Mayor Mori <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilwoman LeClaire <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilman Philcox reported on his attendance at the Community Concerns Com- <br />mittee meeting on April 3, 1974, regarding discussion on Youth, and the Chamber <br />of Commerce meeting of April 2, 1974, regarding presentation by Dan Lee, Director <br />of Public Works, Livermore, on the Livermore Airport. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney reported on the Park and Recreation Commission meeting <br />regarding discussion on the Youth Sports Park, location of motorcycle raceway, <br />Pleasanton Racket Club, and Bond Election issue. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori reported on the Mayors' Conference on April 3, 1974, at which time <br />Councilman Herlihy was elected as a member of the Alameda County Solid Waste <br />Advisory Committee. Mayor Mori also reported on the LAVWMAmeeting held on <br />April 5, 1974. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested that the Summer Employment Program for High School <br />kids be implemented as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney requested that the City Council honor the two Ballistic <br />Soccer Championship Teams at the next meeting. The Council concurred. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Mori recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 10:20 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori reconvened the meeting at 10:25 P.M. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that <br />Resolution No. 74-59, reappointing Charles H.
