The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: Councilwoman LeClaire COMMUNICATIONS There were no Communications presented at this meeting. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilman Philcox reported on his attendance at the Community Concerns Com- mittee meeting on April 3, 1974, regarding discussion on Youth, and the Chamber of Commerce meeting of April 2, 1974, regarding presentation by Dan Lee, Director of Public Works, Livermore, on the Livermore Airport. Councilman Kinney reported on the Park and Recreation Commission meeting regarding discussion on the Youth Sports Park, location of motorcycle raceway, Pleasanton Racket Club, and Bond Election issue. Mayor Mori reported on the Mayors' Conference on April 3, 1974, at which time Councilman Herlihy was elected as a member of the Alameda County Solid Waste Advisory Committee. Mayor Mori also reported on the LAVWMAmeeting held on April 5, 1974. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS Councilman Herlihy requested that the Summer Employment Program for High School kids be implemented as soon as possible. Councilman Kinney requested that the City Council honor the two Ballistic Soccer Championship Teams at the next meeting. The Council concurred. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC No one addressed the Chair. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Mori recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 10:20 P.M. Mayor Mori reconvened the meeting at 10:25 P.M. It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that Resolution No. 74-59, reappointing Charles H. Gielow, Jr., to a four year term on the Park and Recreation Commission, said term to expire February 15, 1978, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: Councilwoman LeClaire ADJOURNMENT There being no further business at 10:26 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on April 22, 1974.
