Mrs. Bev Hamlin, 3529 Wind Cave, on behalf of Valley Trails, Val Vista, <br /> Pleasanton Meadows, and Vintage Hills Homeowners Associations, expressed con- <br /> cern regarding the under-staffing of the Police Force in the City of Pleasanton <br /> and urged consideration to allow the Police Department more personnel. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ed McFaddin, 6252 Gibson Court, President of Val Vista Homeowners Asso- <br /> ciation, addressed the City Council regarding completion of Val Vista Park, and <br /> stated the residents in this area had funds available for various projects and <br /> would assist the City in any way to hasten the completion of this Park. He urged <br /> that sufficient funds be allocated for completion of this project. <br /> <br /> No one else in the audience wishing to speak, Mayor Mori declared the public <br /> hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Council- <br />men Philcox, that Resolution No. 74-50, approving the 1974-75 Preliminary Budget, <br />and instructing staff to prepare final document based on present tax rate, be <br />adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Philcox, and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilwoman LeClaire <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori requested that the possibility of a Bond Election to complete parks <br />in the City be reviewed, and instructed staff to prepare a preliminary report re- <br />garding this matter as soon as the final Budget is adopted. <br /> <br />Application of Steven N. Paich for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessit7 <br />to allow him to operate a taxi service in the tit7 of Pleasanton (Continued from <br />April 1~ 1974) <br /> Mr. Walker presented the staff report regarding this matter. Mr. Bowling stated <br />the taxi office would be located at 234½Main Street and the closed taxi stand lo- <br />cated on Main Street between the ingress and egress section of the Bank of America <br />Parking Lot, and that both complied with the Ordinance, and acceptable to Police and <br />Fire Departments. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Steven Paich, 335 Covellite Lane, Livermore, and applicant for the Permit, <br />explained the operation of the taxi service. <br /> <br /> No one else in the audience wishing to speak, Mayor Mori declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br />Resolution No. 74-51, approving application of Steven N.
