<br />S_ports Park~ Phase No. 1
<br /> Mr~ Edgar presented the staff report regarding this matter, requesting authoriza-
<br />tion to retain consultant services for the first phase final design of the Youth Sports
<br />Park for a fee not to exceed 8.5% of the contract price paid for the improvements.
<br />Based upon the budgeted estimate o.f $133,000.00, the consultant fee will not exceed
<br />$11,305~00, and the work program would be ready to go to bid by March 15, 1974~
<br />
<br /> Mr. Chris Kinzel, Lampmann and Associates, explained the percentage fee, stating
<br />that it is in conformance with the Standard Practices on Landscape and Architectural
<br />Schedule~

<br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman
<br />Herlihy, that the appropriate City officials be authorized to execute a contract
<br />with Lampmann and Associates, Walnut Creek, for the first phase final design of
<br />the improvements for the Youth Sports Park, for a fee not to exceed 8°5% of the
<br />contract price paid for the improvements~

<br />Review of Bids and Award of Contract Re: Traffic Signal at Stanley and Santa Rita
<br />Road
<br /> Mr. Edgar presented the staff report regarding this matter, stating that bids
<br />for the traffic signal at Santa Rita Road and Stanley Blvd., were opened on
<br />January 4, 1974, at 2:00 P.M., with five sealed bids being received. Having
<br />checked the experience and competence of the bidders and having inspected the

<br />bid documents for proper form, the y s consultant, Lampman and Associates, as
<br />represented by Chris Kinzel, recommends that the bid be awarded to Del Monte
<br />Electric Co., the low bidder.

<br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the
<br />contract for traffic signal at Stanley Blvd., and Santa Rita Road be awarded to
<br />Del Monte Electric Co~, Inco, in the amount of $31,339.00o

<br />Report~ Re: Amended Resolution regarding Stoneridge Interchange
<br />Mr. Edgar presented the staff report regarding this matter, stating that after
<br />considerable study, it has been determined that an overpass is sufficient to handle
<br />traffic at the intersection of Stoneridge Drive and 1-680, and that if an inter-
<br />change is deemed necessary later on, it will be applied for as a separate project.

<br /> Mr. John Di Manto, 1385 West San Carlos Street, San Jose, representing Willow-
<br />West Properties, asked several questions regarding specifics of the City Manager's
<br />repor~ and how it would affect the Willow-West property.
<br />
<br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman
<br />Mozi, that Resolution No~ 74-4, regarding approval of request for an overpass pro-
<br />ject at the intersection of Stoneridge Drive and Interstate Route 680, authorizing
<br />the appropriate City officers be instructed to take whatever action necessary to
<br />secure approval of an overpass p~oject at the intersection of Stoneridge Drive and
<br />1-680, and that Resolution No~ 71-126 of ~he City Council requesting an interchange
<br />project at this location is rescinded by this resolution, with the understanding
<br />that if justified in ~he future, a separate project request could be made for a
<br />full interchange at a later date, be adopted.
