Schools to MediUm Density Residential for that approxi- <br />mately 10-acre parcel of land located on the northwest side of Woodthrush Road~ <br />120 feet southwest of Sanderling Way <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented the staff report dated December 4, 1974, regarding <br /> this matter, stating there is no legal mechanism whereby this area can be <br />reserved for a school site. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Douglas Rose, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, stated there were no <br />funds available to purchase this proposed school site, and with the current no- <br />growth policy, it is not anticipated that a school site will be needed at this <br />location in the near future. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Griffin, representing Morrison Homes, stated that while his firm <br />was sympathic to the problems of the School District, this site had been re- <br />served since 1971 with no meaningful negotiations occurring, therefore he <br />requested that the General Plan amendment be granted. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Mayor Mori, that Resolu- <br />tion No. 74-237, approving the application of Morrison Homes for an amendment to <br />the General Plan from Schools to Medium Density Residential for that approximately <br />10-acre parcel of land located on the northwest side of Woodthrush Road, 120 feet <br />southwest of Sanderling Way, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Herlihy, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and <br /> Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br />Appeal of Ad-Art~ Inc.~ from an adverse decision of the Board of.
