Majority Protests re~ardin~ the annexation of the Busch-DeVor Property~ known as Annexation No. 68, to the City Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated October 18, 1974, regarding this matter. He stated that no written protests had been received on this proposed annexation. Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. Mayor Mori declared the public hearing closed. It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that Resolution No. 74-209, declaring a no majority protest to the annexation of cer- tain uninhabited territory designated as Pleasanton Annexation No. 68, to the City of Pleasanton, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: -- AYES: Councilman Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Herlihy It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that Ordinance No. 745, to be read by title only and waive further reading thereof, approving the annexation of certain uninhabited property to the City of Pleasanton, known as Pleasanton Annexation No. 68, be introduced. Councilwoman LeClaire expressed concern about the offensive uses possible in the proposed General Plan classification since the area is a major entrance to .... the City.
