It was moved by Councilman Her!ihy, and seconded by Councilwoman LeC~aire, <br />that Ordinance No. 743, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof amending Sections 5-5.02, 5-5.03, and S-5,04, of Article 1 (Prohibitions <br />on Certain Streets), Chapter 5 (Commercial Vehicle Regulations), Title V (Vehicles <br />and Traffic, Streets and Highways) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, <br />relating to prohibition of commercial vehicles on certain streets? be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Herlihy, CoUncilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and <br /> Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br /> Mr. Scheidig explained the reasons, as set forth in the ordinance, behind the <br />adoption of this ordinance as an urgency measure. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, <br />that Ordinance No. 744, introduced and adopted as an urgency measure, to be read <br />by title only and waiving further reading thereof, amending Sections 5-5.02, <br />5-5.03, and 5-5.04 of Article 1 (Prohibitions on Certain Streets), Chapter 5 <br />(Commercial Vehicle Regulations), Title V (Vehicles and Traffic, Streets and <br />Highways) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, relating to prohi- <br />bition of commercial vehicles on certain streets. <br />The roll call vote was as follow.s: <br />AYES; Councilman Herlihy, CoUncilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and <br /> Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br /> Councilman Philcox requested that courtesy citations be issued for a ten <br />day to two week period in the residential zones in order that truckers could <br />find a new location to park their vehicles. <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Amendment to the Rate Schedule in Hol.din~ Tank F.ran~h~Se Agreement <br /> Mr, Scheidig presented his report, dated October 8, 1974, regarding this <br />matter, stating that the City has received a request from Pleasanton Garbage <br />Company, Inc., to amend the rate schedule under their holding tank franchise <br />agreement. ~ <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by CouncilWoman LeClaire, <br />approving the modification of the agreement for holding tank franchise dated <br />May 29, 1974, between the City of Pleasanton and Pleasanton Garbage Service, <br />Inc., to allow a new rate structure, and authorizing the Mayor to execute said <br />modification. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Merl~hy~ C~'uncilwoman LeClaire, Councilman PhilCox, and <br /> Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilman Herlihy reports on the COVA meeting of October 10, 1974, stating <br />that minor changes had been made to the propOSed Bylaws and Budget, which would <br />be presented to the Council later for review. <br /> <br /> Councilwoman LeClaire reported on the Management Seminar hel~ September 26 <br />and 27, 1974, stating it was profitable, a good exchange of ideas, and opened up <br />communication channels. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori reported on his trip to Sacramento on October 11, 1974, where <br />he discussed the pending project report with the State Regional Water Quality <br />Control Board. Representatives of the State Board agreed to be present at ~he <br />joint meeting with V.C.S.D. on October 18, 1974. <br /> <br /> Mayor bbri also reported that he stopped by the Cal Trans Office but no <br />decision has been reached yet on the widening of 1-580. <br /> <br /> 6. 10/14/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
