MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS Councilman Philcox invited C0~ncil and staff to participate in the Pleasamton Youth Week activities and the dedication of the PYI Building on October 26, 1974. Councilman Herlihy requested a letter of appreciation be sent to the Women's Club for the Dedication Plaque which they presented at the Civic Center. Councilman Herlihy requested that the Council receive a copy of ABAG's policy statement regarding economic development and regional growth management, and place this matter on the agenda of October 28, 1974, in order to gave him direction re- garding this item at the ABAG General ASsembly meeting on October 30, 1974. Mr. Campbell stated that the cover had been installed on the filter at the Sunol Plant this date but it would be several weeks before odor would be con- trolled. Mayor M~ri requested a press release be made on this matter. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Pendig~ Litigation~ Appointments Mayor Mori reaessed the'meeting to an"Executive Session at 10:25 P.M. Mayor Mori reconvened the meeting at 10:35 P.M. It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that the following resolutions be adopted, filling vacancies on various BOards and Commissions: Resolution No. 74-202, appointing R. E. Bu~ler, 3831 Pinot Court, to fill the' unexpired term of Gene Pons on the Planning Commission, said term to expire May 5, 1977, Resolution No. 74-203, appointing A. Ryan McKeon, Jr., 6377 Beech Court, to fill the unexpired term of Jim Allen on the Park and Recreation Commission, said term to expire February 15, 1977. Resolution No. 74-204, appointing Eriea Perry, 4662 First Street, tO fill the unexpired term of Sharon McKinnon on the Community Concerns Committee, said term to expire October 20, 1976, Resolution No. 74-205, appointing Gone O'Brien, 5556 PaSeo Navarro, to fill the unexpired term of Wilbur Christnor on the Board of Appeat~, said term to expire September 25, 1976. Resolution No. 74-206, appointing Donaid 3. Pankerr, 3971 Empire Court, to fill the ~nexpired term of Armand Bergeron on the Board of Appeals, said term to expire September 25, 1975. ReSolution No. 74-207, appointing Melissa Moore, 3548 Glacier Court SoUth, to serve as Youth Representative from Pleasanton on the Horizons Board of Directors.
