Proclaim week of November 3-9, 1974, as Pleasanton Womens' Week as requested <br /> by Jaycee Wives. <br /> <br />j~ Proclaim week of October 1-6, 1974, as Share-A-Song Week, as designated by <br /> Sweet Adelines, Inc., a National Non-Profit Organization of Four-part Harmony <br /> Barbershop Singing. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: Pending Litigation <br /> Mayor Mori recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 8:05 PoM. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori reconvened the meeting at 8:35 P.M. <br /> <br />~UBLiC HEARINGS <br /> There were no public hearings scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />~TTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />~tatus Report - Sewage Treatment <br />I, Sunol Plant Renovations <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the staff report, dated September 16, 1974, regarding this <br />~stter, setting forth the background information. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell reported on the operation and maintenance of the Sunol Plant, <br />stating that for sometime the City had not expended any more money on the Plant <br />~nan necessary due to expected phase out, however, since phase out would not <br />~!~cur for another 2-4 years it will be necessary to expend more money and use <br />~c~e personnel time to keep the Plant in operation. <br /> <br /> Mr. Robert Kennedy, representing Kennedy Engineers, stated that improvements <br />r?~ade on the Sunol Plant fifteen years ago were done for a duration of five to ten <br /><~e~rs in anticipation of phase out. Since conditions surrounding the Plant have <br />~nged, repairs and renovation are being done on a step-by-step basis in an <br />~[~empt to continue the operation of the Plant and to comply with adopted stand- <br />~rds of ~he Regional Water Quality Control Board, at a minimum cost. <br /> <br /> Councilwoman LeClaire expressed concern regarding excessive cost of consul- <br /> ant fees, and the City's responsibility to provide adequate service for resi- <br />~nts who live here. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy stated he was opposed to spending any more money on the <br />?~nol Plant.
