<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG
<br /> Mayor Floyd Mori ~ealled the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at
<br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to th~ flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows:
<br /> Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor
<br /> Mori were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager. Mr~ Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr.
<br /> Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Bowling, Director
<br /> of Housing and Community Development, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services,
<br /> and Mr. Walker, Assistant to the City Manager, were present.
<br />
<br /> AGENDAAMENDMENTS
<br /> Mr. Edgar requested that an Executive Session be held after the Consent
<br /> Calendar to discuss pending litigation.
<br />
<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> Councilwoman LeClaire requested that the following amendments be made to the
<br /> City Council Minutes of September 16, 1974:
<br />
<br />1. Page 7, paragraph 4 should read "It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and
<br /> seconded by Councilman Philcox, that Resolution No. 74-177, approving a
<br /> holding tank system for the Iacono and Drews Property, whereby the
<br /> developer, after compliance with applicable City ordinances, may con-
<br /> struct warehouses for display purposes, however, a specific request for
<br /> each holding tank, depending on the tenant, would have to be submitted
<br /> to the City Council for its review and approval, be adopted."
<br />
<br />2. Page 7 - Communications - Letter from Francis B. Headley, Re: 1-580;
<br /> should delete portion of the last line which reads "and requested staff
<br /> to reply their appreciation for this support."
<br />
<br />3. Page 8 - regarding City participation in Christmas Decoration Program;
<br /> Councilwoman LeClaire requested it be shown on the record of her opposi-
<br /> tion to the use of electricity for the Christmas decorations.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that
<br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved as amended:
<br />
<br /> Approval of City Council Minutes for September 16, 1974, as amended, and
<br /> September 19, 1974o
<br />
<br />b~ Adoption of Resolution No. 74-180, approving Claims for the month of
<br /> August, 1974, in the amount of $453,738.74.
<br />
<br />c.~ Re-adoption of Ordinance No. 737, amending Article 1 (Solicitors and
<br /> Certain Businesses), Chapter 2 (Special Permits), Title IV (Health, Safety,
<br /> Moral and General Welfare), of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton
<br /> relating to definition of Peddler, Solicitor, and Transient Merchant.
<br />
<br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 740, amending Section 2-7.08(a), Article 8 (C
<br /> Commercial Districts), Chapter 2 (Zoning), Title II (Zoning and Develop-
<br /> ment) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relating to per-
<br /> mitted and conditionally permitted uses in the C-S (Commercial Service)
<br /> District.
