Ellis <br /> Mr. Sooby presented the staff report, dated August 19, 1974, regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued regarding the number of septic tanks in the Foothill area. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, to <br /> approve the application of Dr. and Mrs. B. L. Ellis for septic tank on Foothill <br /> Road north of Bernal Avenue, and authorizing the Mayor to execute agreement° <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Kinney, Philcox, and Mayor Mori <br /> NOES: Councilwoman LeClaire <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Herlihy <br /> <br /> Further Report~ Re: Cultural Arts Buildin~ <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the staff report, dated August 21, 1974, regarding this <br /> matter, stating that at present the main constraintis lack of financing, and <br /> that until financing is available, bids for construction of the building will <br /> not be considered. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori reiterated that this project was not being abandoned but would <br /> be reviewed further. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Barbara Van Slyke, 5755 San Antonio, President of Pleasanton Art League, <br /> stressed the need for a Cultural Arts Building and stated this group has funds <br /> available to put into the building. <br /> <br /> Mrs, Charlotte Severin, 4513 Mirador Drive, President of Pleasanton Cultural <br />Arts Council, asked if the Bids could be separated on the building and the site <br />work into two different contracts in an attempt to receive lower bids. She <br />stated that financing might be easier to obtain if there was a specific amount <br />requested for this project.
