Mr. Joe Chickerilla, 363 E1 Camino Real, Sou~h San Francisco, also spoke in <br />favor of removing the p~'ope~ty from the Study District. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearling closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, i~l was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Council- <br />woman LeClaire, that Ordinance No~ 732, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, extending for one year an S (Study) District classification estab- <br />lished by Ordinance No~ 698 on certain property within the City of Pleasanton <br />(Mission Park and Qualified Investment areas), be adopted, said ordinance to be <br />~ffective immediately pursuan~ to Government Code Section 65858. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Herlihy, Councilwoman LoCiairs, Councilman Philcox, and <br /> Mayor' Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Review and approval of L~A~V.W.M.A. Fiscal 1974-75 Budget <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the 1974-75 Budget for L~A.V.W.M.A., stating that Pleasan- <br />ton's pro-rata share to ~ustain this Agency totals $23,258.00. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori stated the Budget had been app~'oved by the L.A.V.W.M.A. Board at <br />their meeting of June 19, 1974, and this ltem was for the information of the <br />Council and no action was required. <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued regarding costs of studies. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Request of Local High Schools to hans Banner on Main Street to advertise High <br />School Play <br /> Mr. Edgar presented request of local High Schools to hang a banner beneath the <br />Pleasanton sign on Main Street to advertise their play "My Fair Lady". <br /> <br /> Jerry Carlin, Director of the play, presented a design of the banner, and urged <br />Council approval as they needed the additional advertisement. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, <br />approving the request of the local High Schools to hang a banner beneath the <br />Pleasanton sign on Main Street to advertise the High School play '~y Fair Lady", <br />from July 21-27, 1974, providing all conditions of the rules and regulations are <br />complied with. <br />The roll call vote was as £ol~ows: <br />AYES: Councilman Herlihy, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and <br /> Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br />Report, Re: Review of Bids and Award of Contract regardin~ Cit~'s.Insurance <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker presented the staff report, dated July 5, 1974~ regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Council- <br />woman LeClaire, that the City's Comprehensive Property and Liability Insurance <br />Policy be placed with Pacific Insurance Company and that the City increase the <br />deductibles and sel£-insure on certain coverage as proposed in Option B, and <br />that Errors and Omissions Liability Coverage of $100,000.00 be added and the <br />Umbrella Liability Policy be increase to $5,000,000,00, for a total annual <br />premium of $48,065~00~ <br /> <br /> 7/8/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
