<br /> Mr. Edgar presented the monthly Departmental Report of the Director of Field
<br />Services, dated May 28, 1975.

<br /> Mayor Kinney complimented the Assistant City Manager, Director of Field Services,
<br />the City Council, Boards and Commissions, City staff, Jaycees, and Chamber of Commerce
<br />for the brick laying party conducted June 7 and 8, 1975, at Century House, for a Job
<br />well done.

<br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY
<br />Report~ Re: Resolution on Curbside Mail Boxes
<br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated June 4, 1975, regarding this matter and
<br />indicated some changes to both the ordinance and resolution included in the Council
<br />packet.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy~ and seconded by Councilmember LoCiairs,
<br />that Ordinance No. 762, to be read by title only and waive further reading thereto,
<br />amending Section 5-8.47, Article 3,Chapter 8, Title 5, of the Ordinance Code of the
<br />City of Pleasanton, relating to mailboxes, be adopted on an urgency basis.

<br />Report, Re: Recruitment of Deputy City Attorney
<br />Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated June 4, 1975, regarding this matter.

<br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by
<br />Councilmember McLain, that Resolution No. 75-128, establishing the position of
<br />Deputy City Attorney and amending Resolutions Nos. 71-73 and 71-74 pertaining to
<br />exempt employees and middle-management employees, be adopted.

<br />Department, be adopted.
