279 <br /> <br /> Application of the Planning Commission from Pleasanton Garbage ..Service to pro- <br /> zone approximately 23 acres of land located at 2512 Vipeyard Avenue from A <br /> (A~riculturai as defined by the Zonin~ Code of the County of Alameda) District <br /> to A (ASricultural as defined by the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton) <br /> District (Continued Open from 1-27-75) <br /> Mayor Mori declared this item continued to the meeting of March 10, 1975, <br /> 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Justice Court, at the request of the applicant. <br /> <br /> The City Council will hold public hearings to elicit citizen .input on how the <br /> funds allocated to the City of Pleasanton under the Housin~ and Community <br /> Development Act of 1974 should be expended <br /> Mayor Mori stated this public hearing was opened at the meeting of January <br /> 27, 1975. <br /> <br /> Mr~ Bowling presented his staff report dated February 6, 1975, and recom- <br /> mended no change be made to Resolution No. 75-18, adopted January 27, 1975, <br /> initially designating the projects for which funds received under the Housing <br /> and Community Development Act of 1974 as replacement of water lines in Harris <br /> Acres and extension of Peters Street to Rose Avenue. <br /> <br /> ~r. Jim Trimingham, representing the Amador-Livermore Valley Historical <br /> Society, requested the Council to consider the preservation of Rotringer Barn <br /> and Adobe on Ray Street, since it is the oldest governmental building remain- <br /> ing in the Valley. <br /> <br /> Mro Herb Hageman, Valley Historian, stressed the importance of the building. <br />He gave a brief background of the building, stating it was built in 1852 by John <br />Kottinger, who was the first Justice of Peace in Pleasanton. The structure <br />served as his home, Justice Court and Jail. Mr. Hageman added there was no <br />other Adobe structurally built in the State as this Adobe, and urged Council <br />to consider' preservation of this important historical landmark. <br /> <br /> Council concurred that this is a very worthwhile project to pursue, and <br />instructed staff to investigate the building and get additional information <br />for review when further consideration is given to projects to be funded with <br />Housing and Community Development Act monies next year. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Council concurred that Resolution No. 75-18, adopted January 27, 1975, <br />remain as submitted on February 1, 1975, and to consider further projects in <br />the next Fiscal Year. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no special reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports o£ Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Review of Bids and Award of Contract~ Meterin~ Facilities at Mocho Pump Station <br /> Mr. Campbell presented the staff report dated February 4, 1975, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, <br />that the bid for metering facilities at Mocho Pump Station be awarded to Del <br />Monte Electric in the amount of $27,000.00, and the City Manager be authorized <br />to execute contract Eor this project. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 2. 2/10/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
