MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> February 10, 1975 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Floyd Mori called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br /> at 8:00 P~M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor <br />Mori were present. Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City <br />Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Bowling, Director of Housing and Community <br />Development, and Mr. Walker, Assistant to the City Manager, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENdmENTS <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested to speak after the Consent Calendar. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for January 27, 1975. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim February as Scout Month in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> c. Authorize execution of Quitclaim Deed eliminating temporary easement for <br /> construction purposes on Tenaco Property. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-25, approval for authorization to execute <br /> Public Service Employment Constract with Alameda County. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None ' <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CONGRATULATIONS TO MAYOR MORI <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by aouncilwoman LeClaire, <br />congratulating Mayor Mori on his successful election in the Assemblyman race on <br />February 4, 1975, and pledging full support for the run-off in March. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, and Councilman <br /> Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Appeal of Pettibone Signs for .Valley Realty from an adverse decision of the <br />Board of Adjustments in deny~in.g application fOr a. variance from the require- <br />ments of Section 2-9.43(a).., ~l. ticle 18~ Chapter 2~. Title II of the Ordinance <br />C.0~e of the City of Pleasanton~ to allow the installation of a freestanding <br />sign on a C-N (Neighborhood Commercial) zoned parcel less than 3 acres in <br />size. Said parcel is locate~. on t.~.e north side of. Valley Avenue approximately <br />250 feet west of santa Rita Road <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open on this item and continued to <br />the meeting of February 24, 1975, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Justice Court. <br /> <br />Appeal of Richard Burge .~rom ~ decision of the Des.ign Review Board not to allow <br />logo for the 7-11 Food Store to be loca't'ed at 3760 Hopyard Road; zoning for the <br />property being C-N (Commercial Neighborhood) District <br /> Mayor Mori declared this item withdrawn from the agenda for correction of <br />address. <br /> <br /> <br />
