REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER Approval of Plans and Specifications~ Authorization to go to Bid - Century Park Mr. Sooby presented the staff report dated January 23, 1975, regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, approv- ing plans and specifications for Century Park, Phase I, and authorizing staff to call for bids on this project. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: None Mid-Year Budget Review Mr. Walker presented the report regarding this matter, stating that it is essentially an up-date of the financial condition of the City. This item is informational only, therefore, no action is required. 1975-76 City Goals Statement Mr. Walker presented his report dated January 22, 1975, regarding this matter. He explained the preliminary goals of each Department. Councilman Herlihy expressed concern regarding park maintenance and requested this matter be discussed further at the Budget sessions. Councilman Herlihy stated that in light of the current energy problems, he was very uncomfortable with the year round swim program and felt it should be looked at more objectively. It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, to approve the 1975-76 City Goals Statement as presented in the report of the Assistant to the City Manager-Walker, dated January 22, 1975. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT:- None Report~ Re: Special Census Mr. Walker presented his report dated January 23, 1975, regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, that Resolution No. 75-20, approving preparation of a population estimate for the City of Pleasanton, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an Agreement between the Department of Finance of the State of California and the City of Pleasanton, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: None Report, Re: Financing of Cultural Arts Building Mr. Walker presented his staff report dated January 23, 1975, regarding this .... matter. It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that Resolution No. 75-21, authorizing $60,000.00 for construction of the Cultural Arts Building be appropriated from Revenue Sharing Funds and the Capital Improve- ment Fund as sh0~n below: Revenue Sharing Funds $36,800.00 Capital Improvement Fund 2~20q.00 Total $60,000.00 be adopted. 5. 1/27/75
