REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Approval of Plans and Specifications~ Authorization to go to Bid - Century Park <br /> Mr. Sooby presented the staff report dated January 23, 1975, regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, approv- <br /> ing plans and specifications for Century Park, Phase I, and authorizing staff to <br /> call for bids on this project. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mid-Year Budget Review <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report regarding this matter, stating that it is <br /> essentially an up-date of the financial condition of the City. This item is <br /> informational only, therefore, no action is required. <br /> <br /> 1975-76 City Goals Statement <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report dated January 22, 1975, regarding this matter. <br /> He explained the preliminary goals of each Department. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy expressed concern regarding park maintenance and requested <br /> this matter be discussed further at the Budget sessions. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy stated that in light of the current energy problems, he <br /> was very uncomfortable with the year round swim program and felt it should be <br /> looked at more objectively. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, to <br /> approve the 1975-76 City Goals Statement as presented in the report of the Assistant <br /> to the City Manager-Walker, dated January 22, 1975. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT:- None <br /> <br /> Report~ Re: Special Census <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report dated January 23, 1975, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, <br /> that Resolution No. 75-20, approving preparation of a population estimate for the <br /> City of Pleasanton, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an Agreement <br /> between the Department of Finance of the State of California and the City of <br /> Pleasanton, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Report, Re: Financing of Cultural Arts Building <br /> Mr. Walker presented his staff report dated January 23, 1975, regarding this <br />.... matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br /> Resolution No. 75-21, authorizing $60,000.00 for construction of the Cultural <br /> Arts Building be appropriated from Revenue Sharing Funds and the Capital Improve- <br /> ment Fund as sh0~n below: <br /> <br /> Revenue Sharing Funds $36,800.00 <br /> Capital Improvement Fund 2~20q.00 <br /> Total $60,000.00 <br /> <br /> be adopted. <br /> 5. 1/27/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
