(Continued O~ep from 12-2-74~ and 1-20-75) <br /> Mr. Bowling presented the staff report dated January 24, 1975, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori stated the public hearing had been continued open on this item <br />from the meeting of December 2, 1974, and January 20, 1975. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing on this matter continued open to the <br />meeting of March 17, 1975, 8:00 P.M.,'Pleasanton Justice Court, for additional <br />information from the State, after which the final Environmental Impact Report <br />will be prepared. <br /> <br />Application of the Planning Commission from Pleasanton Garbage Service to prezone <br />approx. 23 ac. of land located at 2512 Vineyard Ave. from A (Agricultural as <br />defined by the Zoning Code of the County of Alameda) District to A (Agricultural <br />as defined by the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton) District <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open on this item and continued to the <br />meeting of February 10, 1975, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Justice Court, at the request <br />of the applicant. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Review Re~ort of the Bicentennial Committe.e~ Re:. Proposed Budget and Priority <br />Projects <br /> Mr. Edgar presented his staff report dated January 22, 1975, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ken Mercer, Chairman of the Bicentennial Committee, gave a brief back- <br />ground of the inception of the Bicentennial Committee and the function of this <br />Committee. He presented the proposed budget and projects being considered, and <br />stated that in order for Pleasanton to become a Bicentennial Community and have <br />tax exempt status on funds, the City Council must commit funds for at least one <br />project that encompasses the three areas of the Bicentennial Celebration - <br />Horizons, Heritage, and Festival. <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued regarding a Bandstand. Mrs. Charlotte Severin, Chairman <br />of the Festivals Committee, explained the details involved in a Bandstand and in <br />having a municipal band. <br /> <br /> After further discussion, it was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by <br />Councilman Philcox, that Resolution No. 75-19, approving the report of the <br />Bicentennial Committee, appropriating $5,000.00 to the Pleasanton Bicentennial <br />Committee for financial start up with the understanding that to the extent <br />possible said funds would be repaid, and that the list of priority projects be <br />approved with the exception that Priority No. 4 (Bandstand-Amador Park) be re- <br />vised to read Bandstand/Cultural Arts, with the amount of money budgeted to be <br />$10,200.00, for a total appropriated budget of $20,000.00, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori recessed the meeting at 10:15 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori reconvened the meeting at 10:20 P.M. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no 'reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> 4. 1/27/75~ <br /> <br /> <br />
