It was determined that a pedestrian crosswalk between the Pleasanton Hotel <br />and the Cheese Factory would not be installed at this time° <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr~ Edgar presented a letter from LAVWMA transmitting Resolution No. 75-5, <br />stating LAVWMA's intention to work with Zone 7 on Water Quality Management Plan- <br />ning for Alameda Creek Watershed above Nileso <br /> <br />Approval of Resolution authorizin~ filin~ Application for Federal and State <br />Grants for Publicly Owned Wastewater Treatment Works and Providing Certain <br />Assurances <br /> Mr. Campbell presented his report regarding this matter, stating the reason <br />for the resolution is to authorize staff to apply for Step I Grant to get some <br />of the money that we have spent on Project Reports reimbursed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br />that Resolution No. 75-225, authorizing filing Application for Federal and State <br />Grants for Publicly Owned Wastewater Treatment Works and Providing Certain Assur- <br />ances, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney recessed the meeting at 10:15 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney reconvened the meeting at 10:25 P.M. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Jim Jordan, 7218 Stonedale Drive, addressed the Council regarding a date <br />for the public hearing on the proposed Stoneridge Overcrossing. He was advised <br />that the setting of the public hearing on Stoneridge Overcrossing is dependent <br />upon a decision by the State as to date, time, place, and format. Mr. Jordan <br />requested to be notified if and when the date is established. Staff was in- <br />structed to inform Mr. Jordan regarding this matter. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Report, Re: Approval of COVA Agreement <br /> Mr. Levine presented his report dated October 9, 1975, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember McLain, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />that Resolution Noo 75-226, approving the amended COVA Joint Exercise of Powers <br />Agreement, be adopted° <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, and Philcox <br />NOES: Mayor Kinney <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney stated his reason for voting No was because he originally was <br />opposed to ~oining COVA. <br /> <br />Reopgrt~ Re: Proposed Parade Ordinance and Resolution <br /> Mr, Levine presented his report dated October 7, 1975, regarding this matter. <br />He also presented a draft parade permit form. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding various changes desired in the proposed <br />ordinances. <br /> <br /> 1~ was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Philcox, <br />that O~dinance No~ 771, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, adding Article 14 (Parades) to Chapter 2 (Special Permits) of Title IV <br />(Health, Safety, Moral and General Welfare) of the Ordinance Code of the City of <br />Pleasanton relating to parades and official parade routes, be introduced. <br /> <br /> 10/13/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
