The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember McLain, and seconded by Councilmember Philcox, <br />that Resolution No. 75-227, establishing parade routes in the Central Business <br />District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Resolution Requestin~ Alameda County Tax Collector to Withhold Two Items from Sale <br /> Mro Levirio presented the resolution concerning this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker explained the Assessment District segregation. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember McLain, <br />that Resolution No. 75-228, requesting County Tax Collector to remove items from <br />October 16, 1975, tax sale, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember McLain reported on the COVA meeting of October 9, 1975, at <br />which time they discussed the Alameda County Solid Waste Management Plan, Valley- <br />wide city concept, and gravel truck traffic. He informed Council of a Trans- <br />portation Seminar to be held November 13th, at 5:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Philcox invited Council to the Chamber of Commerce meeting of <br />October 14, 1975, at which time the Redevelopmerit Plan modifications will be <br />finalized~ <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire reported on a BART meeting of October 9, 1975, regard- <br />ing possible discontinuance of feeder bus service after June, 1976, unless perma- <br />nent financing is found. Councilmember Herlihy requested the City Attorney's <br />office to advise Council of legal options available to institute mandamus action <br />against the District should this become necessary. <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney reported on a meeting of the San Francisco Bay Air Quality <br />Maintenance Task Force, stating that debates were currently going on in Wash- <br />ington to consider changes in regulations to the Clean Water Grant Program. <br />Mayor Kinney stated he would like to recommend at the Mayors~ Conference that <br />each City contact their representatives in Washington to encourage the separa- <br />tion of air and water in this program. Council concurred. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Philcox commented on the newspaper article regarding Walter <br />Johnson's proposal to develop the Arroyo del Valle between First Street and <br />Hopyard Road, and urged Council and community support of this recreational <br />waterway project. Staff was instructed to write to Mr. Johnson to express <br />appreciation for his generous donation and to assure him of City cooperation <br />and assistance. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire requested that the matter of cars for sale parked <br />in a public right-of-way be investigated. Staff was instructed to check into <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Herlthy requested an attendance record of the various Boards <br />and Commissions. <br /> <br /> 7. 10/13/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
