165 <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Resolution amending Resolution of Intention relative to Assessment _ <br />District No. 74-10, Peters Avenue Par. king L.I.D. <br /> Mr. Walker presented this report, explaining due to a technical <br />error made by the bond counsel, a resolution.to amend is necessary <br />and requested a resolution to that effect. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Philcox, .seConded by Councilmember <br />Herlihy, that Resolution No. 75-210, amending the Resolution of Intention <br />relative to Assessment' DiStrict No. 74-194, Assessment District No. <br />1974-10, Peters Avenue L.I.D., be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember McLain <br /> <br />Report Re: P.T.C.W.D. Assessment District No. I -Edwin Carter Trust <br />Fund <br /> With drawn <br /> <br />Approval of Plans and Specifications to call for bids for Traffic Signal <br />Installation at Hopyard Road and Johnson Industrial Drive <br /> Mr. Sooby presented his report dated September 17, 1975, regarding <br />this matter, and displayed an aerial photograph of the intersection. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire was concerned that a traffic signal would <br />not alleviate the hazard. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sooby explained that the Division of Highways feels that there <br />is adequate room for this installation and that a sign indicating signal <br />ahead would be installed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Philcox, seconded by Councilmember <br />Herlihy, that request for approval of plans and specifications to call <br />for bids for Traffic Signal Installation at Hopyard Road and Johnson <br />Industrial Drive be approved. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: Councilmember LeClaire <br />ABSENT: Councilmember McLain <br /> <br />Approval of specifications and authorization to call for bids for <br />controller for traffic signal installation at Hopyard Road and Johnson <br />Industrial Drive <br /> Mr. Sooby presented his report dated September 17, 1975, explaining <br />that the consultant felt that by separately calling for bids on the <br />controller a savings of approximately $1,00.0 may be realized. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, seconded by Councilman Philcox, <br />that the request for approval of specifications and authorization to <br />call for bids for controller for traffic signal installation at Hopyard <br />Road and Johnson Industrial Drive, be approved. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: Councilmember LeClaire <br />ABSENT: Councilmember McLain <br /> <br />R_eport~ Re: Review of Bids and award of Contract for Walnut Grove Park <br />Improvements <br /> Mr. Sooby presented his report dated September 17, 1975, recommending <br />the the City Council award a contract in the amount of $20,927.30 to the <br />low bidder, R.E.G., Inc., which includes the additive alternates. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, seconded by Councilmember <br />Philcox, that the contract for Walnut Grove Park Improvements be awarded <br /> <br /> -6- 9/22/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
