469 <br /> <br /> Mr. Philcox re-entered the Council Chambers. <br /> <br /> MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> Report, Re: CQVA Joint Powers A~reement and 1975-76 Budget <br /> Mr. Scheidig stated that he did not have a copy of the COVA Bylaws included in <br />his report and asked Council if they desired to have this matter continued to the <br />meeting of July 28, 1975, for a complete report. Council concurred to continue. <br />this item to July 28, 1975, and expressed concern about the funding of COVA and <br />obligations of a participating agency upon withdrawal, and exercise of powers <br />over land use questions. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Jim Jordan, 7218 Stonedale Drive, requested that the residents in the <br /> Stoneridge area be informed regarding the Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency Plan. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Fraga, 1486 Kolln Street, asked questions regarding the costs related <br /> to the widening of Foothill Boulevard. <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney recessed the meeting at 10:10 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney reconvened the meeting at 10:15 P.M. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANACER <br />Report of Planning Director~ Re: Pict.~re Frame Shops in C-S Zone <br /> Mr. Harris presented the staff report dated July 8, 1975, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hank Cupples, Valley Realty, 7027 Dublin Blvd., Dublin, stated he felt <br />picture frame shops were compatible in C-S Zoning and urged Council to initiate <br />an amendment to allow this designation. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Philcox, and seconded by <br />Mayor Kinney, that Resolution No. 75-156, initiating a Zoning Code amendment to <br />allow picture framing shops as an allowed use in the C-S District, and referring <br />the matter to the Planning Commission for a report, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney and Councilmembers expressed Happy Birthday Wishes to Jim Walker. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Report of the Planning Commission~ Re: Goals..and.pbJectives <br /> Mr. Harris presented the staff report dated July 9, 1975, regarding this <br />matter, which is informational" only. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER (Cont'd.) <br />Review of Bids~ Award of Contract on Santa Rite Road Widenin~ Project <br /> Mr. Sooby presented the staff report dated July 11, 1975, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember McLain, <br />awarding the bid on Santa Rite Road Widening Project, Project No. 75-2, to Gene <br />Caldeira Grading and Paving, Inc., Livemore, in the amount of $32,450.00, and <br />authoxizing the appropriate City officials to execute the contract. <br />The roll call. vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 4. 7/14/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
