PUBLIC HEARINGS (Contd.) <br />App~l of Mrs° Teri Jordan of a decision of the Planning Commission that a site <br />imm~fliately northee.st of the Intersection of Maywood Drive and Stonedale Drive <br />is proper for a recreational vehicle storage yard and that certain minor modi- <br />fications to the storage yard are in substantial conformanne with PUP-69-5 (the <br />development of 236 townhouses ip the area bordered by Sprangdale Avenue, Stg~.e- <br />dat~ Drive and Maywood Drive) <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open and continued to the meeting of <br />June 28, 1976, 8:00 PoMp, Pleasanton Council Chambers, 30 West Angels Street, at <br />the request of the appellant. <br /> <br />Application of the Planning Commission for a General Plan amendment to add two <br />streets to the adopted circulation system intheareabounded. by Highway 1-580, <br />Hopyard Road, .TaasaJara Road and the extension of West Las Positas Boulevard <br />between Hopyard Road and Santa Rite Road <br /> Mr. Harris presented his staff report dated June 7, 1976, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open~ <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke in favor of the modification that the eastern <br />terminus of the frontage road be at the interchange of TassaJara Road and 1-580, <br />as recommended by the Planning Commission: <br /> <br /> Robert Pearson, 3590 Churchill Court <br /> Don Savery, 6738 Rancho Court <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Philcox declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember LeClaire, that Resolution Noo 76-142, approving the application <br />of the Planning Commission for a General Plan amendment to add two streets to <br />the adopted circulation system in the area bounded by Highway 1-580, Hopyard <br />Road, TassaJara Road and the extension of West Las Positas Boulevard, between <br />Hopyard Road and Santa Rita Road, with the modification that the eastern terminus <br />of the frontage road be at the interchange of TassaJara Road and 1-580, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of Valley Plaza for final deve.~ppment plan approval for the final <br />phase of PUD~73-2, a commercial center located at the northwest corner of Santa <br />Rite Road and Valley Avenue, zoning for ..the property is PUD (Planned Unit Devel- <br />opment) District <br /> Mro Harris presented his report dated June 7, 1976, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open~ <br /> <br /> Mro Jack Bras~ 90 Mission Dr~ve~ representing the applicant, stated this <br />application was ~h~ final phase of development for the property, and requested <br />approval of this reque~t~ <br /> <br /> Ther~ being no further public testimony, Mayor Philcox declared the public <br />hearing c~osed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Ordinance No. 788, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, approvlng the final development plan for the final phase of PUD-73-2, <br />a commercial center located at the northwest corner of Santa Rita Road and Valley <br />Avenue, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) District, be <br />introduced° <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 3. 6/14/76 <br /> <br /> <br />
