<br />UP-76-11, an application for a Conditional Use Permit to construct and operate
<br />a Service Station on the Northwest Corner of Hopyard Road and Johnson Industrial
<br />Drive
<br /> Councilmember Mercer requested to be excused from hearing this item because
<br />of a moral conflict of interest in this particular matter.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Joe Schwab, 78A Mission Drive, representing the applicant, requested this
<br />item be continued to the next meeting due to a confusion on the public hearing
<br />notice date. He stated his client was not prepared to make a presentation tonight.
<br />
<br /> Mr. William Hirst, 147 Bernal Avenue, representing Vernon Dickman, requested
<br />the matter be heard tonight as further continuance might be detrimental to the
<br />item.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Scheidig stated that the City's Environmental Impact Report guidelines
<br />required that an appeal be heard within 30 days after filing. Council determined
<br />to hear this matter at a Regular Adjourned meeting on June 3, 1976.

<br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open on this item, and continued to
<br />the Adjourned Regular meeting of June 3, 1976, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council
