Councilmember Brandes recommended Fred Staedel, Deonne Burdusis, and Howard Garrigan. Mayor Philcox recommended Kathleen O'Brien, Howard Garrigan, and Richard Bore. By process of elimination, Mayor Philcox stated the following persons would be considered for appointment to the Park and Recreation Commission: Howard Garrigan Kathleen O'Brien Richard BOta Councilmember Brandes requested that Fred Staedel be included for consideration, and listed reasons for this recommendation~ Councilmember Mercer requested that Sue Johnson be included for consideration, and listed reasons for this recommendation° Councilmember LeClaire requested that Linda Girard be included for consideration, and listed reasons for this recommendation, It was moved by Councilmember Brandes that Fred Staedel be appointed as a member of the Park and Recreation Commission° The motion died for lack of a second. It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 76~122, appointing Mrs~ Kathleen O~Brien, 5556 Paseo Navefro, as a member of the Park and Recreation Commission to fill the vacated seat of Kenneth R. Mercer, said term to expire February 15, 1978, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LoCiairs, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: None Mayor Philcox stated that Park and Recreation Commissioner Ryan McKeon had announced his intention to resign from this Commission because he would be moving away from the City July 1, 1976. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 76-123, stating the intent of the City Councii to appoint Howard To Garrigan, 389 Mavis Drive, as a member of the Park and Recreation Commission to fill the seat of Ryan McKeon upon his resignation, said term to exp!r~ February 15, 1977, be adopted° The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Her!ihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: N~ne ADOPTION OF' R___ESOLUTIpN~ RE: 1976-77 PRELIMiNARy BUDGET Mr. Edgsr reviewed the proposed resolution approving the 1976-77 Preliminary Budget, with cLanges as recommended by City Council in previous Budget Sessions.
