44 <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that the City Manager advise the Council of any disciplinary action taken against <br />Pleasanton Fire Personnel with regard to the burning of Fallon House~ <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mrs. Cronin requested that Councilmembers meet with the Dublin Historical <br />Preservation Association to consider the most constructive way to proceed with <br />a possible solution to replacement of Fallon House. Mayor Philcox stated that <br />two members of Council would be assigned to this matter and would be in touch <br />with Mrs. Cronin shortly regarding a meeting to discuss this item. <br /> <br />Las Positas Overcrossing <br /> Mro Edmond Alves, 1114 Santa Rite Road, representing a Subcommittee of CARD, <br />read a resolution passed by CARD on May 11, 1976, that CARD re-affirms its strong <br />support of the construction of the Las Positas overcrossing and resolved that the <br />City Council should seek dissolution of the agreement Binding the City Council to <br />the construction of the Stoneridge Overcrossing, and that City Council transmit <br />their position regarding both overcrossings to Celttans at the June 7, 1976, Public <br />Hearing at the Val Vista Rec Center. <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke regarding the critical need of the West Las Positas <br />Overcrossing: <br /> <br /> Bill Berry, 4603 Sierrawood Drive, Pleasanton Fireman <br /> Brad Knight, 7838 Oak Creek Drive, Foothill High School Study Body President <br /> Tammy Robertson, 2848 Calls Reynoso, Foothill High School Study Body Commis- <br /> sioner, who presented Council with a petition signed by 110 <br /> students at Foothill High School, encouraging the City Council <br /> to hasten the construction of the West Las Positas Overpass <br /> Dean Foster, 3931 Empire Court, Foothill High School Sophomore Class President <br /> Jeff Geppert, 6054 Big Bend Court, Foothill High School Student <br /> Don Savory, 6738 Rancho Court, who displayed photographs of the pedestrian <br /> traffic hazards and a map of other overcrossings on 1-680 in San <br /> Ramon <br /> Wallace Mayer, 3r~, 2780 Willowren Way <br /> Jim Jordan, 7218 Stonedale Drive <br /> <br /> Council explained the need for both West Las Positas Overcrossing and the <br />Stoneridge Drive Overcrossing, stating that one could not have a higher priority <br />than the other, and that there were no State funds to construct either Overcros- <br />sing so private funds would have tc be secured for construction if they are to <br />be built in the near future. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox requested that the matter of placing this item on the November <br />Ballot for Bond issue not be considered until after further study and review of <br />the sewage treatment probiem~ <br /> <br /> Mayor Philc~.x recessed the meeting at 9:55 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox reconvened the meeting at 10:05 P.M. <br /> <br />DISC'F~ICN, RE: PA~F AND RECREATION COMMISSION APPOINTMENT <br /> Mayo~ Philcc;~ stated that since appropriate interviewing for Park and Re- <br />creation CormT, issioner had been completed, how is the time for selection of a <br />member ~or the Park and Recreation Commission° He reviewed the process for <br />selecti~ and requested that each Councilmember recommend three names for ~' <br />consiaeration~ <br /> <br /> Councilmembez! Herlihy recommended Howard Garrigan, Richard Bore, and <br />Kathleen O'Brien. <br /> <br /> Counciln~ember Mercer recommended Kathleen O'Brien, Sue Johnson, and Nino <br />Pompilioo <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire recommended Linda Girard, Kathleen O'Brien, and <br />Howard Garrigan. <br /> <br /> 3. 5/24/76 <br /> <br /> <br />
