The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney NOES: None ABSENT: None Councilmember LeClaire abstained from voting on the Minutes of January 12, 1976, and Ordinance Noo 776, due to her absence at said meeting. Councilmember Philcox abstained from voting on the Minutes of January 19, 1976, due to his absence at said meeting. REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER Report~ Re: Approval of current Public Saf~t7 Organization Mayor Kinney introduced this item, stating that public testimony would be taken regarding this matter. Mr. Edgar presented his staff report dated January 5, 1976, regarding this matter. He also responded to a leaflet that was distributed to all the homes in Pleasanton by the I~A.F.Fo, Local 1974, and which was. attached to his report. Mr. Edgar read an excerpt from the P.C.E.A. Informer which stated that generally the majority of the City employees are in support of consolidation of the Police and Fire Divisions. Chief McCloud reviewed the status of consolidation and the merits of the merger. He stated he felt good leadership was most important and expressed appreciation to Chief McCloud for his excellent achievements in this role.
