The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Report~ Re: Proposed Future Headquarters for League of California Cities <br /> Mr. Campbell presented the report of the City ~nager dated September 20, <br />1976, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Brandes, that Resolution No. 76-217, appr~ving the proposed League Program <br /> Cit ' <br />for future headquarters and instructing the y s representative to the <br />Annual Conference to: 1) support the resolution proposing an amendment to <br />the Constitution and Bylaws of the League of California Cities related to <br />Special Assessments for League Building; and 2) to support a resolution <br />proposing a Special Assessment for the League Building based upon the one <br />time payment, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeCIaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Campbell advised the Council that the slurry seal projects on Walnut <br />Drive and in Amador Estates would begin shortly after October 1st. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Report~ Re: Ordinance Amendments related to Sewer and Water Connection <br />Ordinance <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated September 22, 1976, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mercer, that Ordinance No. 798, to be read by title only and <br />waiving further reading thereof, amending Section 2-15.13, Article 2 (Sewer <br />Connection Fees), Chapter 8 (Sewage), and Section 2-16.21, Article 2 (Water <br />Connection Fees), Chapter 9 (Water), of Title II (Zoning and Development), <br />of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relating to exemptions to <br />charges for casualty losses, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: Councilmember LeClaire <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Request for Amicus Curiae Participation .in Equal Pay Act <br />Litigation <br /> ~. Scheidig presented his report dated September 21, 1976, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that the City Attorney be authorized to include the City of Pleasanton as an <br />amicus curiae participant in the case of Brown vs. County of Santa Barbara, No. <br />CV-75-3492-HP, U. S. District Court, Central District, at no cost to the City. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Approval of Payment to Morrison Homes resulting from Law Suit <br />Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated September 24, 1976, regarding this <br />matter, indicating that the City had checked Morrison Homes request for pay- <br />ment of damages from law suit and figures had been checked as to accuracy. <br /> <br /> 5. 9/27/76 <br /> <br /> <br />
